I own this microphone along with a matched pair of u47s, a C12, and the Slate VMS. This is my favorite hands down. Such a pure and pleasing mic. Most mics I want to load up the front end, but with this, I go clean into the interface and it sounds heavenly.
I need a new vocal mic and now I’m standing between u87 and ma 1000. would u recommend me the ma 1000 for rnb and pop vocals or would u say the Neumann u87 is a safer Choice ?? It’s such a hard decision for me. Don’t wanna make a mistake with so much money…
@@timuryesa The ma1000 has sounded incredible in every situation so far. The midrange and silky top end is especially pleasing on male vocals. The Neumann u87 has lots of strengths, too, so you can't really go wrong. It's just hard to make the ma1000 sound bad.
@@timuryesa Here's an interesting test I did. I recorded with the Bock 251 and the MA1000 side by side, and they almost nulled each other out like 98%. So think of buying an ma1000 as a modern built ELAM 251.
@@BeauStephenson wow bro ! Thank you so much!!! I tested bock and Mojave on audiotetkitchen and the Mojave didn’t sound so „highend“ like the Bock. But maybe it was because of their recording. When u tell me the ma 1000 is such an phenomenal mic then I will buy it. I just want a mic which I can keep forever and fits in all situations, from Rap to rnb and pop.
