Awesome saucesome - Moke on VH1. AC/DC had only just vacated the studio from the previous session, which took place a couple of days beforehand. Moke recorded three tracks in around an hour - Down, My Desire and Fluicide. Apparently, Moke were louder.

I saw these guyz open for kings x at the canyon club in dallas. Everyone was floored by how good they were. Bought the cd. AND THEN it got stolen. I sure would love another cd.

I cant believe you have all of these moke videos! I was so obsessed with them in college that I emailed their manager somehow (dont remember how I got his email, im guessing from their webpage) and begged him to bring the band to the US. He actually replied and said they had plans to come, but I think they disbanded shortly thereafter. I couldnt even believe I received a response. I think I check youtube once a year for John Hogg videos to see what hes doing in life and occasionally i find some new videos, but that guy had the most amazing voice ever, and the guitarist was so insanely awesome. This was the best band that never made it. I feel lucky to even know they existed. Sorry for the lengthy post but i bet all who have posted feel exactly the same! Thanks again for sharing these videos!

Mikey O'Neill: John is now the singer of The Magpie Salute, which includes Rich Robinson, Marc Ford and Sven Pipien from The Black Crowes. They are releasing their debut album of original material, High Water, in August.

Mikey, I was lucky enough to see them live in the US, they played at the Trocadero Club in Philadelphia. They opened for King's X. I also had the pleasure of meeting them afterwards. I wish they wouldn't have disbanded, they are so killer. I'm still obsessed with them. If you didn't know, John Hogg (vocals) from Moke is now playing with Rich Robinson (Black Crowes) in a band called "Magpie Salute". Cheers.

I also remember seeing this on VH1. I'd never heard of them before and I was blown away. Great vocals and superb, dirty slide guitar. Bought Superdrag right away and much later managed to get hold of Carnival, both great albums. Thanks for posting this.

Can't thank you enough for posting this! Moke is, in my opinion, the most inspiring band I've heard in past 15 years.

Like alot of people that commented I saw them open for kings x in Poughkeepsie NY, and bought both albums and spoke with them for awhile and then they disappeared and I've always wondered what happened.

I remember this vid on VH1, I think the captions at the bottom read that they were one of Ian Browns fave bands at the time. Anyway that was enough for me to check um out proper, thank's Mr Brown.
