That's amazing. I'd like to see the individual blocks up close to get a better idea of how the final image came together. I do woodblock printing (but just a novice) so am very interested. Thank you for sharing.

Wow, that's pretty amazing. Thank you for showing your technique. I've never seen a woodblock image look so much like a photo.

Hi. Can you tell me what Holbein pigment colours have you used? I just recently ordered a few. I'm pretty sure you use quinacridone magenta and phtalo blue. For the yellow I skipped hansa yellow light (due to lower light fastness) and got isoindolinone yellow instead.

I add a few drops of quinacridone red to quinacridone magenta. And, a few drops of imidazolone yellow to hansa yellow light. And then, phtalo blue and sumi black from sumi ink.

Amazing! Do you wet the board first? Do you wet your paper?

Very intersting... Do you use a laser to cut your blocks?

Hi, thank you for your comment. I carved by hand using traditional Japanese carving knives. See my other videos.

@@oyamadasakuradai That is truly amazing work. I would not have thought you did this by hand. No way I could carve that fine.
