When I did energy audits, I was in a lot of occupied homes that were in similar condition. I did audits in the Washington DC / Baltimore / Pittsburgh areas in low-income programs and also just paid audits. You *never* know what's going to be on the other side of the door when it opens.

Thank you Corbett! I know the subject matter of the series is important, but this young man’s personality is putting an exclamation point on what the extreme result of the chemistry of homes can be. Occasionally we need to be shocked to get the message. Great recovery for me from episode 1.

that hits home. just recently helped clean out a relatives home that wasn't quite that bad, no mold. mental illness, depression, hording, burn out, it takes its toll. i understand very well how people can live like that.

Moldy spiders are cool, I used to see them a lot. I used to cleaned up my friends rentals that looked like that. Dog doo is a major issue cleaned mountains of it. They would complain about mice when they had mountains of garbage. Almost got shocked trying to shut off the electric to the well with a foot of water in the basement. I’m with you it is hard to believe how many people live like this

Hi Corbett. I was watching a video from the BS and Beer channel (BS stands for building Science) called "Water Quality: Contaminants, Testing and Treatments for a Healthy Home" and the guest, Caroline Blazovsky from My Healthy Home said that out of all the possible materials for water supply pipes in a home, she wonders why people don't use stainless steel. Are there stainless steel water supply pipes? (minute 29:15) Also, what do you think of her information on plastic pipes, reverse osmosis and corrosive water?

Far out, I had to cover my mouth and gag for him while watching🤮 How was he talking and breathing in some of those places! 😅

Apart from mould and actually dirty thats my home 😅😔. Hoarder, depressed, barely wanting to live at all and my health is complete shit so my whole life is a struggle. Taking out the garbage is a real stuggle but i don't leave any actual food garbage, that goes out the window or in the fire place, mostly i burn my garbage once every second month since i never get to put it out in the bin. My house smells clean but there are piles of old boxes, garbage (not smelly) and electronics parts. Have a dog that hairs a lot and sadly only bother to vacuum 1 or 2 times a year apart from the couch, trail to the couch kitchen and bedroom just two days ago did "clean" with vacuum cleaner and leaf blower 🤣 NEVER ever do i ask people over or let them in, if someone comes at an unannounced visit i say im very sick and can't see them. Still at 100% work but barely. Hate myself for it but can't get the energy to do anything with it.
