Here's the thing, Liz and Craig volunteered to do the Uphill battle. If Paul hadn't shut them down, the other team would have blown them out of the water.

Probably a lot more than that. The show probably donated a lot of money for their communities, and a new soccer facility.

Mark and Kristen aren't the mole, since neither one would care to get an exemption. The Mole is immune.

Not necessarily. If the mole wanted to avoid suspicion, trying to get an exemption would be a very good way to do it.
