It was really only a matter of time before coming back to the Layton Soundtrack, and there is still more I want to do with it - but with the Pixel Mixers May contest sneaking up on me, I found the perfect opportunity to record a medley of two memorable themes from Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box, both of which featured heavy accordion/bandoneon in the mix. The series' music, a nice mix of jazz tinged orchestrals and the leaner sound emulating Astor Piazolla's quintet works, is full of gems, and has resulted in some unexpected interest in the accordion family as a result, which is never a bad thing.
