You have to confront the root of the fruit in your life. This is one of the best teachings I have done. I believe every single young person should watch this, and even people who have been divorced or going through marriage problems.
I had a rarely-discussed (medical/criminal statistics) childhood. Molested by a teenage girl (I'm the oldest of 3 girls) who primed me and I was 6-8 and wanted a big sis. After it went on and I was shown girl-on-girl porn, I (sadly) showed two friends what I secretly knew because I was "special." A couple of years later I learned it wasn't okay according to the Bible. By 14, I had started drinking, lost my virginity, began having panic attacks. I clung to my boyfriend at age 16, we got married - and I finally felt "safe." But I carried this SHAME until last year. My Christian family shamed me - they left me with this girl (their friend's daughter) - and I guess they can't handle what happened to me. But, I haven't touched alcohol in a year and refused to date for the last 2 years to allow God to do a complete overhaul. And HE did. Being molested by a girl drove me almost 30 years of hidden sex addiction - married 3 times and wanted sex daily or multiple x's/day. Gladly God limited the # of people I was drawn to (had every blood test completed) and I don't have any diseases or HIV! Never again. I'm unashamed and transparent now. God will bring who I'm supposed to be with. I had to face it all. Even though I was TOLD to let it go.... and now I'm happy to say that God is showing me how he can use the horrible molestation for the good. He forgave me! Praise God.
Thank you I needed this! My father molested me years ago and I was raped later. These incidents have affected me every day of my life since then. My father admitted it and my mom stayed with him and my family stayed by his side. My father died 17 years ago and my family still defends him. I recently decided to cut ties with them because they refused to see or admit the damage he caused. I also recently found out his father molested my aunt😢 The panic attacks I've suffered since 4 also come from my father's side of the family as well as genetic disorders. I've believed for some time there was something very unnatural and powerful coming against my family but I haven't heard this subject much. Praying for these curses and soul ties to be broken😢🙏🏻

I want you to know that God sees all, just work on your healing and gets some support elsewhere to get your deliverance. One day soon you will be able to support others because of your testimony. Hang in there sister, I too suffer from panic attacks because of things I've endured both as a child and as an adult. Forgiveness is a tricky thing, but it will take tons of stress off of your mind and body. Faith, Hope and love, abide in these 3. I've lived most of my 37 years void of hope. I'm fighting to overcome my depression and each day is a struggle. It's true, we need God to overcome spiritual wounds, but we have to put in effort too. I believe in you 👍. You're gonna make it. I spent a lil while trying to figure out how i'd initiate my comment. But mannn, you're speaking nothing less than facts. Its mind blowing because I literally sit and have these types of convos with God and to myself because a lot of people wouldn't understand what I mean or where I'm coming from. I'm currently in my season of allowing God to uproot and destroy things that have been brought against me by the evil one to defeat me. It's taking time but I must be patient for God. Spiritual Warfare is real, it does exist and we're all out here battling things that we do and don't have acknowledgment of. I was molested for years and suffered as everyone hailed my predator as a hero. I have hurt so many people in my life as a result of the molestation I endured. I was a addict for years and suicidal for most of my life. I am very shutdown as a result. I can be emotionally draining to those around me because I get so deep inside of my own head. As a result of being molested I was raped later in life because that predator could tell I was a victim. I have had very low self-esteem also. I hurt the people I love the most and I have a very low opinion of myself. I think the bottom of everything is going to fall out so I kick it out instead. I have been married for almost 20 years and he knows everything and God bless him he is such a good person. God sent him to me so I may have a chance at a normal life. How did your husband treat you while dating when it came to sex? Did he have boundaries? I'm asking because I just went on a first date with a guy to church and we had the conversation about boundaries. I said I wanted to wait until marriage for it and he respected it, but then (because I wanted to test him) I told him I wanted to wait to kiss until marriage as well. He said he already lost his virginity so it doesn't matter as much for him. Shouldn't he have told me his boundaries? He should have some right?

I didn't know much about sex and was a very late bloomer and what was worse is my mom begged me to say I lied cuz she wanted a man in her life. My grandmother saved me from him. It caused a lot of anger between my mom and me a long time. I totally forgave her when I got truly serious about God as I got saved at 8, knowing full well what I was doing. I was later date raped at 18 and I hated sex for years. It caused my husband to cheat and eventually he left me. I told my new husband and we have been married 30 years. I told him everything. I too was molested as a young boy, it was by my older siblings. Thanks be to God, for giving Marcus this message to share with any who will hear! And another thank you as well to all of those in the comments who have openly spoken about the trauma they faced in their lives; and in doing so giving me the courage to share this. Because I myself have only told a handful of people. But I just minutes ago prayed to The Lord and asked him to lift this burden from me, and to rebuke Satan and the hold he has had on certain emotions and memories in my life. I know this cannot be erased from my memory, but only with time and Gods grace it can be healed. So now brothers and sisters, I ask that you pray for me in spirit to help me heal, and to gain the courage to confront my siblings and tell them that I have forgiven them; and as well to tell my mother of this just so I dont have to feel like I'm always hiding something. I'm not sure though because I feel like this would truly devastate her, and make her feel guilty because she was an only parent. Maybe can someone give me some advice on this or if I shouldn't even tell her at all?! This is the greater mountain I feel I have to hike. Exactly why I & my wife have been separated for almost 2years now. She had rape & molestation happen to her as a little girl & a teenager. She told me about them in the beginning of our relationship, but I thought I could show her something different...real love. Nor was God the foundation of our relationship...man if I had only known all this before. I would've loved her so much differently. Please pray for us that still truly love our wives & husbands....that they are healed & allow God to lead them, & us to love them .
When I was involved in the occult/new age the spirits in me would drive me to sleep around so they could transfer into other people. I used to think I was just having periods of heightened sexuality because I'm diagnozed bipolar, but looking back at it honestly, it was the spirits working in me, using sex to create those soul ties and jump to other people. It became evident, in the people I'd sleep with experiencing spiritual oppression right after and they would lose their temper at me, get paranoid and claim I had done something to cause all the dark stuff happening in their life. I wouldn't understand it at the time, but I only got diagnozed with and experienced "bipolar" symptoms after I began to conjure and open myself up to spirits. There was a key demon I dedicated myself to and it's specialty was making people lose their minds. Anyway, I'm seeking God to deliver me of all this stuff. I've burnt all my occult stuff, renounced my ties with these spirits in Jesus' name. It will likely take time, but I'm going to focus on drawing close to God and letting these old ties fall away.

Brother Marcus, I have seen this video for the first time and I was tremendously blessed. I work in Mental Health field. I thank God I can use the Bible in a public setting. I teach about Trauma and Generational Curses in my groups, I was led by the Lord to teach and educate people in this area. It is sad that the church doesn't discuss this on Sundays. So many Christian are in bondage to trauma and believe that the Blood of Jesus will cover it and not deal with it. This was a setup by the Devil to destroy what God has placed in His people; to get them out their purpose and focus on the hurt and pain. I was a victim but no more. I learned to forgive and settle my past with trauma 10 years ago. I was able to confront the young man who molested me at the age of 8 yo. I forgave him and told that I love him with love of Christ and that I will pray for him. I was re-traumatized again at 16 years old, this time it was a gang rape from older men and woman at friends house. I was able to write a 26 page letter and wrote what happened that night, how I felt and what I went through but how I will overcome it. I wrote all their names on the back of it and took it to the woods and burned it up, that was my forgiveness for them. It was by the POWER of the HOLY GHOST and renouncing what took placed. Today I am free from my past and still learning to grow in Christ and now able to teach others to work through and overcome their past. Bless you Brother Marcus and continue to speak the TRUTH of God. I will continue to stand on the forefront for Christ and TEACH to EMPOWER and then RELEASE back into the community with new mindset ij Christ. He is the Great Healer and deliverer. This is sooooo true to me! I'm an example of this very thing! I was molested from 9 years old to 17 and after that I got married to my husband at 18 so I never got healed from the past so when I got married and when me n my husband would get into arguments I became very angry and abusive to him! I never knew this part of myself, I was depressed, dealing with anxiety and suicidal! I'm still healing, after being married to my husband almost 10 years I realized that I have not healed and I still have troubled thoughts in my head! @@jelicianorwood24 thank you and yes ma'am I have forgiven my abuser, but it's my mother that I discern that hasn't forgiven me or herself! My mom and I have a dysfunctional relationship since the molestation and we never talked about it but we got into an argument this year and she pretty much told me I was in on it with my abuser, like I wanted that to happen to me. She still has not yet apologized for that after I expressed to her how that made me feel, I feel like my mom has so much hatred in her heart over me sometimes. I'm 28 and I received my diploma this year and my hubby and I didnt have a car at the time cause our vehicle was repoed but guess what my mama had a date with a guy and she did not take me to my graduation, she didnt even tell me congradulations knowing that it took me a long time to get my diploma! I'm a keep praying for her. But I just wish she would change the way she may be feeling about me

I have soul ties to over 53 people.... it got to the point where I would just cover their face with a pillow... because I didn't care who they were.....I am 38, I have no children, and have never been married... though I long for both of those things.. I have since been saved and repented....but I think that I have yet to revive to things because of my past sexual sins... I have even broken those soul ties and the darkness that came with those interactions... but I am still void of my heart's desires. I wish I never went down the road of sexual sins!! If only I was obedient I know things would be different!!!

WOW! Thank you, very much! For this word. I Recently met my birth mother. I have been Separated from her, my dad, and Bro for 33 years. 'm went to go spend the week with her. I did see that I’m nothing like her when it comes to spiritual things. she’s a superstitious believer. I believe in God the Trinity, the I am, the beginning and end. Long story short, I did also see some resemblance I'm 34 and I have never been married and my mom struggles with a lot of things and I started seeing that she and I are a lot of like.. At that moment,, I asked and I prayed for God to break every chain and I believe in my heart he did! I’m going to be going to school to be a Dentist! I was also molested and raped by my adopted dad had a baby and everything. but look at God and how beautiful his mercy is he taught me how to forgive and move on from my past. And you also confirmed it for me!! And I prayed with my mom to break that chain to break that generation curse because I know a lot has to do with her I just know in my spirit. Excellent teaching. I found out too late in my marriage that my ex wife was sexually abused. I desired to receive marriage counseling from out pastor but he refused to counsel us; only me. This was a great injustice to us both but especially her. She threw me out of our home and was left abandoned. Like you said, I was being punished for what men in her life did to her. As I was getting her closer to facing her demons to deal with them biblically she rebelled. During our marriage she was always angry and I suppose put on a game face. I suffered as a man as we never even consummated the marriage. She played the victim because that is much easier than to confront her past. I however have been disgraced and abandoned by our Christian friends and my family and left alone to deal with the shattered fragments of my broken life. I have struggled with trusting people because of being burned in the past but now even more so especially those in Christian leadership. I do not want to be single and feel empty at times because my life seems to be one failure after another. I am beginning to believe that nice guys do finish last if they finish at all. For anyone reading this with a similar situation, know that I empathize with you!
I cant say I have gone through the same brother, as I am only 19. But I have faced abuse as a child and I have known what it was like to face abandonment. But I will say a prayer for you. And The Lord loves you, just unceasingly pray to him, he will guide you. Dont lose hope man, I dont fully know your story but maybe your relationship with your wife can be reestablished. Victims tend to blame themselves, so what many women are thinking is not that Men are awful, but rather I AM awful. It manifests as self-hatred and guilt. Hard to enjoy marital relations when you are deeply sick/injured by it too.
Everything you said is so true...just last July I went through a terrible marriage of 22 years that ended with him ending up in prison for committing the worst crime to God, my girls and me. I went through molestation and rape myself and I told my ex but the problem is that he was hiding all that happened to him from me and it caused such a tragedy. I realize what you said is so true...if he would've shared with me maybe it could have prevented him becoming seriously demented and might I add influenced by evil. I thank you for posting this because it made me realize what has been interfering with my current healing and even caused me to be a victim once again. If we would just be willing to tackle (w/the Word) the problem at the "root" and not the "branch" we can uproot those things in our lives that block our destiny. This was my first lesson in marriage counseling. Most common roots to cast down: Fear, Rejection, & Shame. Ask yourself when you are struggling "what am I afraid of? Why do I feel shame? I was molested when I was 5. I feel like if you have that trauma in your life your spouse should understand that beign sexually rough, in a disrespectful way can trigger memories of the trauma and should not be upset when that spouse pulls away and shuts down.
I believe that he should understand and be patient with you. But I also believe that the one who also got abused should get inner healing first for yourself but also for the relationship to be as healthy as it should be

Marcus, I've been saved for 38 years, sat under some wonderful teachers and done a lot of teaching myself. This was the clearest teaching on soul ties and how molestation, abuse, rape, and promiscuity creates soul ties and problems in later relationships I've ever heard. The Holy Spirit really spoke thru you. I'm glad you included promiscuity in this; promiscuity is self-inflicted sexual abuse. I really enjoyed this lesson. Pray for God to keep you humble.

My molestation happened when I was REALLY young, by my own brother. I've been married 3 times. I was honest about my past. Ok, I can see where my not having properly dealt with this caused problems. Compounded with the fact that Most of the men I have been with have been narcissist's. Therefore they ended up instead of giving some understanding and compassion they used it against me. Now I'm 50 & alone. I FINALLY put all this together & now I'm lost. I'm sad & I feel broken. I'm still actually married but we have been separated for 8 1/2 years. He wouldn't sign the divorce papers so he could still try to control me. He ended up physically hurting me so I CAN'T see myself going back. He keeps trying to tell me that I just NEED to come back to him. I CAN'T, I DON'T see anyway it can go well, ever. He put a gun to my head. I will not go back to be hurt more or killed. I should have listened to the spirit of the Lord. I married out of God's will. Now I'm divorced now and allowing God to perform spiritual surgery in me. Factsssss. I had to give myself wholly to God and stop using my experience as an excuse! Do not be a victim of your circumstances! That’s what’s the Enemy wants! I was molested as well as a child and the experience was blurred out for a good while! Until the enemy decided to utilize it again as a way for me to excuse my sexual immorality, I broke down and cried to the one and only king! I gave up my hurt and my own understanding, I told him that I didn’t want to destroy his plans for me because I didn’t know better so ever since then the spirit has led me to do better. It’s a journey, but God has been wonderful! And I love him even more everyday.

I've gone through this at 9/10 years old and now I'm 50 but suppressed it for so many years. Finally was able to tell my mother about it at 30 (the 9 year old daughter wanted to tell her mother) not to get back at the person but just to release because I had forgiven the person already. the problem with marriage today is people are getting married with the option of divorce in the back of their mind just in case it dont work out.. been with my husband for 19 yrs now and we been through it! good, bad and ugly.. God just used you to show me how His grace has kept us! we were saved maybe 4 yrs in.. past hurt and drug abuse on both sides.. tried different churches for like 10 yrs and realized we had to put our mask on everytime we went! we worship Him at home now and i just realized instead of taking our anger and hurt out on each other ,God has been our punching bag willingly... oh my Lord i dont wanna wrestle with You anymore!! I struggle hard with this one. As a child I was abused and raped for years, from 10-16 by both a man and a woman. Years later got some counseling and eventually told my parents and family. But they refuse to understand that it has left some scars on me. Some things I feel will always broken.
I’ve struggled keeping my molestation a secret for years the pain of just speaking about kills me. Even in therapy it hurts I’ve blocked it out for years been diagnosed with ptsd one day hopefully I can tell my story to my spouse.

This is very true I am married almost be a year in Feb and I told my husband when we got married about my molestation when I was younger and he was of great comfort, but your shedding a light on a serious matter. This stuff needs to be talked about. That's why I say many of us who have been emotionally abused needs counseling, and there is nothing wrong with that. It helps so much, how I know I have done it and now we are on the topic of me now telling my mom because I am 23 years old and she still doesn't know.

This is so true. My husband and I were both molested as young children. Mine was in my family and church his outside family. He did not tell me about his until after we were married when i started doing healing work for mine. I just found out MORE just this weekend after 24yrs of marriage. The mask analogy is exactly what happened in our marriage. I refused to live in secrecy from the beginning and have open and honest through every step of this marriage. I am completely freed and healed but my spouse has refused to see this truth about being honest and vulnerable. They have kept him in such bondage. Finally, as I have prayed and found help through Pure Desire Ministries, he is starting to get help. We are on a Looong journey. Thank you for addressing this! No one really talks about this and so many are hurting. Statistics say 1 in 3 women sexually abused. 1 in 4 men. Alot of people in bondage out there.

This is so true. Healing is necessary! "You cannot have the truest intimacy without honesty." This is true with God and your spouse. I thank God for GOD, my husband, and everyone who helped me heal! It was not easy, but I am a better person now because of it. Fight for your healing...no matter the violation, BUT GOD! True breakthrough doesn't occur when God breaks the cycle. Breakthrough comes when God reveals the trigger that sets the cycle in motion.

It was yesterday I was having the same conversation with one of my young church bro and I was telling him that It's best to tell all while dating before going into marriage, because satan loves to expose all the skeletons in the middle of the marriage to break it apart; and also to be delivered from soul ties and generational curse. My God! This is the truth! My marriage is the perfect example. Didn't understand the importance of dealing with past traumas and molestation. But even in telling your spouse, if they didn't go through this they may not understand what you've been through. But thankfully, through Jesus, he has healed us. He has helped our marriage. The Holy Spirit councils. Be an accountability partner for your spouse or even a trusted friend that has been through these things. We need more discipleship in church!

Brother I sure wish I could have heard all of this before and after I got married, because everything you are saying I went through all of this with my ex husband because he was raped by his older brother. Then when he married me a virgin he neglected me as his wife in every way, because his manhood was stolen from him by his older brother. And because of all his pain and past he could never be a husband to me. And after I divorced him I find out from our own handicapped son what all He was really doing. I wish I could say much more, but I don't want the wrong people to find this to read.
I tried to break up once with my now husband because the rape and molestation I went through made me feel unworthy and unclean. I did not feel like he should love me because I felt dirty. It took a lot to heal from that, but what helped was being completely honest with him about everything that happened and not having sex before we were married. Not having sex allowed us to learn to love and trust eachother without the disfunction and confusion that sex outside of marriage can bring. I didn't have to worry about if he was just using me or just wanted sex, I knew he wanted to be with me because of who I was and I knew that I was loved. After two long years we finally got married and it's been great, but it took a lot of prayer and open conversation.

I found it today and man you are like the ONLY ONE who has been open about this and it home so much and crazy as it sounds this still affects my marriage after almost 12 yrs we have been together 18.5 though.
