I hate to say, I wouldn't want to use either & I do like just about all the official Molex tools and terminals. Not to mention I don't even want to think how much either one costs; going by the usual price tag!! However the link does provide a good visual reference to teach beginners & it's free; at least for those who didn't buy either tool in this video. Maybe this demo just didn't show off their full potential?
hi, i am looking for a crimping tool for open barrel terminals but specifically a tool that would crimp the stripped wire and the insulation at the same time. do you have such a tool?

Yep. I decided to spend the money and get the "correct" tool, but it's just terrible. The instructions say that it works with my SL 70058 pins, but they don't fit the holder, and even if they did, you can't see what's happening so you can't align the wire properly, and even if you could, it overcrimps the wire part and undercrimps the insulation part. Aarrrgghhh. Molex, you've betrayed me.
@@Gracana Service grade is a garbage grade tool. Contact Molex and voice your disappointment with the tool. They shouldn't even be selling it. The Premium grade tool is excellent though! Best suggestion is to return the garbage if possible and get that one.
