What the best material of plastic can be a good test for glow wire ?

Do cable side housings need to have their crimp contacts populated for 60695-2-11 testing, or is it optional? Thanks for posting.

I don't think it matters. It's about flammability of the resin. The crimp contacts are metal and won't catch fire...

​@@mcvangils This falls under GWEPT. Since you also would need to test if there are any effects on heat transfer throughout the connector due to the crimps in place. It is also possible (Not in this case) that the crimping or installation of the part in end product modifies the part itself (For example, a LAN connector has a part that gets bent as a form of standard installation/mounting). You are never 100% sure how the part will behave after installation/modification untill you test.
