Nice looking shed, enjoy the reuse and pack full of meadow green. Nothing wrong with having the B for research. Helps remind you why you are the Oliver Man. We have a little 50 (and R) to play with as well. Little muffler rain flap on it fluttering with the wind

According to the serial number it is a 1970 MM Jet Star 3 Super. The 3rd number in the serial number is a 3 which indicates it has a gasoline engine. Had the 3rd number been a 4 it would have had a diesel engine. And btw, only 249 were made with a gasoline engine and 109 with a diesel engine in 1970. This is not a tractor that you see very often. Thanks for the video Ross.

Always enjoy your videos! Especially anything related to the Olivers. I wanted to send this comment regarding your auction find 2016 Ford. You may have already gotten the info you need to repair it; I have experience with those systems so wanted to see if I could help. In your video "will it run" about the 2016, the code reader gave two codes that I noticed very quickly are key in getting it to run correctly. First, the code indicating Fuel pump control circuit issue is important but the U code is what I wanted to tell you about. Your an excellent mechanic so you might already know what im about to say. In that year of truck, it should have a high and low speed CAN bus which the truck uses to communicate between all the modules its equipped with. It's similar to the way networking behaves with computers and wifi; like connecting a computer via a ethernet cable or wireless. Your truck threw a U code which indicated lack of communication with the Fuel pump control module. Specifically, that means generally that the Powertrain control module (or whatever ford calls it) cant talk to the fuel pump control. What also worried me was the other code indicating a open circuit issue. Without a bi-directional scan tool that has topology/scope function I wanted to pass on some ideas that should help you quickly repair it without throwing lots of money at parts. Since the codes show circuit issue and no communication from the pump control, I would go straight to the connector for the fuel pump control. Here though is where it gets interesting; you will need a good schematic of the fuel pump control connector. The schematic should tell you what pins at the connector are pump power and ground. However, avoid a typical test light to check for power to the pump. If you can get a old headlight pigtail, like for 9006 bulb, make a test light out of that; ill explain why. A 9006 headlight bulb, as an example, pulls oh 3-5 amps. If you can make a test light with a bulb that draws decent current it'll be a better overall test of circuit integrity. A typical 12 volt test light in my experience may still light up but the circuit cant carry any considerable amperage; which the fuel pump control would have to have, to be able to carry amps since electric fuel pumps draw a lot of current. The hand built test light idea will tell you if the circuit ground and ability to carry current is intact and also if the Powertrain control module has the ability to (control/activate) the Fuel pump Control. Simply put it's an easy way to check power, ground, ability to communicate in the circuit. I am wondering if the forklift perhaps damaged some of the wiring related to the fuel pump control; considering the circuit code "U" indicating open circuit. In my experience a failed fuel pump control can also do that if its "smoked". However, so it doesn't drive you nuts hunting the problem I wanted to write this and see if it helps. I worried about the two codes I remember from the video simply from the standpoint they can lead diagnosis in a possible wrong direction given one indicates fuel pump control issue but also an open circuit "U code" indicating communication issue. If it were my truck I would be suspicious of actual wiring integrity until I confirmed at the fuel pump control connector that power, ground and ability to communicate are present. Lastly, wiring that is specific to the "CAN" network at the fuel pump control module connector, most likely will have to be tested using a tester that can read duty cycle/pulse width modulation or require a scope to see the actual comm. There is a youtube channel "South Main Auto" the mechanic/owner is Eric O, and in my opinion he is the ultimate bada** at vehicle diagostics. He had tons of videos on advanced diag which is very good plus he gives tips and ways to diagnose without expensive scopes or scan tools. I think I heard you mention you were going to order a new fuel pump control module; you probably already know this but double check rather that module has to be flashed or programmed to your new pickup. I apologize for this being so long winded but hopefully it helps. Keep the videos coming, we all enjoy them!!!

Ross the Oliver man ! My comment about hot manifolds was told to me way back around 1988 Farmer had corn cob business collecting cobs at the shelling site n run them down somewhere around Champaign Ill. He said farmer was calling him before the manifold cool down for his cob check, we just laugh about it. They would grind them up n polish metal with them that's what I was told ,the combine came on the scene don't know if they still do that Nothing wrong with your videos Ross

F*&king carburetors!!!! I just took the one off my 770 because the tractor would only run right when the choke was pulled out about a little - then it would run perfect. Joe thought the carb might need rebuilt. So we took it to a local guy who is great on carbs and he rebuilt it and I still have the same problem. Very frustrating.

Wonder if you have a bad manifold gasket sucking air. I had the gasket leaking on my 60 John Deere and I happened to be using the tractor in the dark with the lights off and saw a backfire flash between the manifold and head. Replace the gasket and torqued it down and she ran much better without having to choke it.

Ross, invest in a 5 gal can of "Evapo-rust". It will remove all that rust, just let it soak for a few days. You reminded me, I need to message Moline Dan about a question I have. As a kid, we used to have a MM, don't remember the model it was, just remember it was gas converted to LP. Great video as always. Cheers :)

Btw; I put my comment about the 2016 Pickup here on most recent video so perhaps you would see it faster. Wanted to see if I could help a little before the new truck gets so annoying trying to fix it that you run it over with Mighty Whitey LMAO! I know my F150 has caused me a few times to inhale a 12 pack of potent adult beverages along with the idea to unload a few shells of buckshot through the windshield lol.

Ross, sadness seems to follow you like a magnet. By experience and luck you typically manage to get things operational again. What is parts availability for Molines? They definitely have a lot of iron in them compared to current utility tractors of a similar power rating.

19° for a low sheesh... thats not cold for a high, you sure are wimpy🤣🤣 I pulled the engine on a 770 diesel when it was just above 0° I had it in a tin shed, so I was out of the wind. It was one of those calm starlit nights, and I was awake so why waste it. I do have a very warm place to hide when my hands get cold 🥶

I hate to see that has been butchered in the past. I view each and every one of those as a rapidly disappearing precious resource. So many people touch those that shouldn't. Hopefully the Chinese or Indians will at some point knock off the "Big Bowl" marvels like they have the "small bowl"
