Why should you feel sorry for her? Sherlock ABSOLUTELY loves Molly back. He even says so and there's no question he meant it. The second time he says it, it is a revelation for him. Molly's arc through the series was about helping Sherlock open up in a way John was never able to do, because John was too addicted to the danger. John made Sherlock a great man, but Molly made him a good man. We can argue whether or not it is platonic or romantic love (I think it is romantic), but Sherlock 1000% loves Molly Hooper.

@@claremoseley2185 sorry, but i watched the show, and it's not like that. I mean, at first, I also thought that Sherlock had something with Molly, but after watching the show in detail and reading the analysis of other commentators, I came to the conclusion that Sherlock doesn't love Molly as a woman, but only as a friend. And that second "I love you" is not a revelation. Just a reinforcement for Molly to respond soon, as time was running out. And the arc of the series has always been focused only on John and Sherlock, no one else. In the season 4 extras, the show's creators say it was John Watson who influenced Sherlock to become the man he is. Molly helped, no doubt, but Sherlock's heart is only activated by John Watson.

@@queenheart6167 Sorry, but I've watched the show too (and what is with you suggesting that I DIDN'T?). Sherlock LOVED MOLLY. I said it could have been platonic, but you're so insistent that Sherlock can have absolutely no room in his heart for no one else other than John Watson. And you know what? Other characters are allowed to have an arc in the show. Greg's arc was Sherlock developing a proper respect for him and remembering his name. Mycroft's arc was making peace with Sherlock. And Molly's arc was helping Sherlock treat people better. Not everything has to do with John Watson. And I've watched interviews from the creators too. I know they've said how important Molly was to humanizing Sherlock. She was the one who would call him out. It is even acknowledged IN SHOW with Sherlock saying Molly was "the one person who mattered the most" and John saying she was the one person who knew how to call him out on his bullshit. So why don't you take your disrespect for Molly out of a lovely video in tribute to her and go watch Apple Tree Yard.
