It's funny. How this show and many other unforgettable shows from the 90s captures my heart, when unfortunately time passes by so fast. I'm blessed to have grown up in the 90s.
I feel like, if Cara hadn't left the show, and they hadn't taken it in the sickeningly sweet bubble gummy way they took the last season (no offense to Alexz Johnson, she's a great actress, but just not right for So Weird), that it would have gotten SO MUCH darker, and that would have made it that much better.
She's a very talented actor, but just wasn't the best fit for the show. When Cara was on the show, it felt so much more mysterious and it really drew you in, it was a little darker and more mature, and you felt the emotions more.
@@sarahb3722 I agree, I got upset when Cara left the show I really wish they would have kept the slightly darker tone to the show and I loved the original idea for season three as well. Although Cara left to pursue other projects I can't help but wonder if part of the reason she also left was because Disney refused to allow the original script to play out and wanted a lighter tone to them. They had also fired (or he quit) the original writer for and had someone else rewrite season three so it can be lighter completely ruining the original story.

Honestly in my opinion what we got for season 3 would have made a good season 4 maybe maybe after Fi rescued her father from Hell maybe she goes to live a normal life with him instead of her aunt and everything else happens the way we saw it
I miss this show too. They should have made a soundtrack for it because all of the great songs Mackenzie Philips and Alexz Johnson sang. Anyone know if you can buy the show on DVD?
Certain parts of this song tear me up cause when my aunt passed. It was her husband - my uncle told me that I was like her rock telling me how much I meant to her I lost my best friend that day She was all about books.and we both have always loved - loved - loved to read. So however much I tend to read it's just such a huge comfort. Just sleeping with a book up close to me helps too and I can't go anywhere. without my books either

this was the one of the only episodes that i remebered from when i was a kid. recently watched all the episodes again and this is still one of my favorites. It took me years to find decent copies of the show sooo glad I finally found them.
This song makes me sad now because Fi was trying to save her grandpa and my grandfather died,it's been years since my grandfather died but this makes me remember it and miss him.
I watched this episode 2 days ago, man this show is excellent so far. I'm in the middle of the second season right now. I'm glad I looked into this show, because my whole life, I always remembered the name of it but never knew what it was actually about cause I was too young. The only fact I remembered about this show was that there was a character named Jack
The flute coming in at 1:42 is just great! So Weird was my favorite tv show growing up. Until Lizzie McGuire emerged. But So Weird was my first favorite tv show. It was so well done.

been thinking about this song for a while but I could not remember it for the life of me. Fast forward today I told myself I am going to find this song. Glad I did. This song stuck with me since I was a kid. The way she sings it along with the visual. Priceless
There was so much that made this scene great. That song, the relationship with her dad (in the show, in real life it adds so much more) then with Fiona and Jack, and finding out their Dad's soul got jacked, which brought up so many more questions. Just Good TV. Disney Channel, please give me something like this again, I know that in the latter part of this show is when you went to the light-hearted sappy (at times) side, and Annie kicked off your singing spectacular that is now the Disney Channel (Alexz Johnson should have major props), but if you can have one show like this in your schedule Just 1.
I became a huge fan of Mackenzie Phillips because of this show and I read her book "High on Arrival." I can definitely see that she brought her life experiences into the role of Molly Phillips. There was such an authenticity among ALL of the characters on So Weird that is rare to find on a Disney Show. I liked that they respected us kids enough to show a darker, and emotional side to life. This show will always hold a special place in my heart.
It did not go down hill, but it did diminish after she left. I did not like the change, but still watched the show till it went off the air. I liked the show.
I absolutely love this series. My Irish mother and I would play The Rock over and over again. It's such a beautiful, poignant song. I really so much wish that they had continued the series, or at least reboot it. It was so ahead of its time.
it been years since I've seen this show. But this is one song that has always tuck with me. That one and Rebecca. I loved this show b/c I always said I related to Fi because I knew what it was like to loss your father at such a young age.
This song is amazing! I think this also happens to be one of my fave episodes. We were a lucky generation to be able to actually have good shows on Disney. I wish they had a day were they aired all the old series. High School musical and hannah montana make me want to barf! I am never letting my kids watch the new Disney.
I remember watching all of the episodes of these beautiful and fun shows. These are the shows that hold through time and ages for people that see them. I will always remember them and treasure them. Disney has forgotten these shows and can never find anything new that could replace the. I feel bad for Walt Disney, his legacy is going to be in ruins.

I think that was my favorite episode. I know the the old legends of Ireland, the stories from both sets of grandparents. I would like to get to Ireland one day. Thank you for uploading the series. I just wish i could find it on DVD.

So Weird was wonderful series I saw in 2000, only time it ran in Czech republic. The Rock is one of two songs which touched me greatly. The other one is Rebecca.
I remember the day my O.T. (occupational Therapist) came when I was watching an episode of So Weird. I spent most of the session begging to watch the end of it first. I never won.

Anyone know what "decides who lives and who dies." The banshees are clearly represented accurately in that they are shown not to be malevolent but merely dutiful psychopomps. But what are they agents FOR? what higher power do they answer to?
I strongly feel that the DISNEY Channel show series (SO WEIRD) deserves to get rebooted. If it does get rebooted someday; I suggest the reboot version of it being titled as (THE WEIRD & MYSTERIOUS).

2024 and I'm literally watching this Episode of So Weird right now. This show created my interest and fascination in the Paranormal and Supernatural as a kid in the 90's
