Ok, I saw this live with front row seats and have been looking for this ever since; Molly was hypnotic, you could hear a pin drop in the audience. Literally, that is how quiet it got - not hyperbole.
Really glad to find footage of this out there. I've been researching the various Sallies lately (Lea Thompson, Brooke Shields, Jennifer Jason Leigh, etc.) to see how the role has been interpreted by various actresses. I am quite impressed with Molly's portrayal. She done good. :)
Sally is supposed to have kinda a “basic” voice without crazy broadway belting and runs. This style of singing was what was popular in this time period. Even singers with a crazy big range like Barrett Wilbert Weed sings the song in this style
