Tungsten is a pretty poor choice because it has a really low specific heat. Even at its melting point it only holds about as much energy per kilo as the copper, quite a bit less than the aluminium.

Nickel tho, and aluminium could get way hotter but also more dangerous.

That was propably the Sodium reacting with water. I'm no chemist, but being molten might let it react with the water, disregardign teh presence of chlorine.

That liquid nitrogen thing seems dangerous. What if your hand was already cold and damp?

For your hand to be so cold that it would instantly freeze would mean your hand was a solidblock of ice. Your body is about 36 Celcius. Few degrees here and there won't matter to the liquid since it is -195 C. If you got water on your hands then it will freeze and conduct the heat to your hand that means it will cause a freeze burn. A normal dry hand and you'll be just fine. You can also do this with molten lead and wet hand. The water conduct heat so much better and instantly turns to gas that protects your hand.

It's fine. I'm not shallow and superficial enough to be bothered by that sort of thing.

Most of Finnish people can't squat this well or at least they don't find it comfortable. But we are powerlifters and we usually squat 3-4 times per week so it has become quite easy to squat also outside the gym and now I really like to use slav squat as an resting position since it's totally comfortable when you are mobile enough to do it properly. And you get also lot of youtube comments with it :D

its a thing people do in cold places. no benches, and you dont want to sit on the cold ground so they figured out how to squat heels down. Most people call it the "Slav Squat."
