For being the first American to work on a Sonic game Tommy Tallarico did an amazing job on this completely original song, his mother must be very proud
For those of you guys who don't know, this is a remix of one of the combat tracks from a PS1/Sega Saturn game called "Black Dawn". Tommy Tallarico did the music for that game and Sonic and the Black Knight. Blows my mind how music from a game about using an attack helicopter to blow up terrorists ended up in a medieval Sonic game, but I'll take it. This track f-ing rocks!
Todd Dennis is amazing for this composition and Jun Senoue is amazing for this arrangement. I really hope nobody else claims credit for this and gets away with it for 13 years
Even if it is a poorly credited arrangement of a Black Dawn track, god damn what a great arrangement it is. Shoutouts to Jun Senoue for giving us such great unintentional cover.
@@thatitalianlameguy2235 Tommy composed most of his company’s music the lying comes when he retroactively acts like he did sound design for popular games when he didn’t
We have Jun Senoue teaming with Tommy Tallarico, and even Marty Friedman of Megadeth fame on the final boss theme. For a soundtrack of a game starring a hedgehog with a talking sword. Even if the games are not as well remembered today, I'd love for SEGA to have this level of dedication and ambition, even if the game ends up "meh".
Just to inform everyone, Todd Dennis compose Black Dawn’s soundtrack. This is a remix of “Action Theme” from that game. Tommy just owned the company who Todd worked for. That’s right~ Tommy took credit for composing it. Even tho, no, he didn’t compose it. This is that song: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yc_wtYyHdvs.html
christ, and I was willing to give him some credit, because even if it's reused, at the least the arrangement was great, and it turns out he is reusing someone else's song ffs Tommy xD
@@kyrroti9921 Actually there is evidence that Todd made this. It can be find in the credits. ru-vid.comUgkxIjTg7MeRONTYLV4LqxNWIHEurY4Pj0Ud He pretty much credited under Tommy studio.
I honestly love this game. Great story, AMAZING music, multiple playable characters, huge amounts of fan service and some pretty good controls. I feel this game gets too much hate, once you get the hang of things its a great time start to finish.
It was my first Sonic game :,) Except I don't know if that claim is righteous or unjustifiable or not. I played the hell out of the Sonic games for Wii (Secret Rings, Colors, Unleashed, and Black Knight).
But this one wasn't Jun Senoue. This track was the work of the masterful American game music composer Tommy Tallarico, composer of game music from games like Earthworm Jim and Cool Spot and a slew of others.
@@outtagoodnamesdangit I know Senoue didn't compose this track and it appeared in Black Dawn years prior, but Senoue was credited in the official soundtrack of Sonic and the Black Knight as the arranger of the track, as well as the one responsible for the electric guitars. That new guitar lead I timestamped was an addition by him and wasn't in Tallarico's original version, so I feel he still deserves the credit here.
at least Black Knight is underrated as hell, but both games have bangers that'd fit frontiers like a glove. If there ever is a sequel, there is still a chance this and other tracks make it 🙏
I must have played this game during a happy time of my childhood, because whenever I listen to this track I suddenly feel very peaceful and at ease. This game was awesome and I wish there were more of this storybook series for Sonic.
so fricken epic! black knight's ost is so slept on lol some of the best in the franchise first 15 seconds is HYPE incarnate. Its like your ass got beat but damn it you're not losing this fight!!!, heroic second wind bitches!!! lol
Super Mario Bros: Lava is dangerous, we make the music ominous Donkey Kong Country: Lava is a part of nature, we make the music calm Sonic the Hedgehog: Lava is so damn cool, we make the music epic
