Mom, dad and puppies abandoned in an ally... this was a tricky rescue.

I had to leave the country in a rush to visit my mom who was not doing well. While I was away, texts and calls for help kept coming in, and for this one, it required all the women of #HopeForPaws: JoAnn Wiltz, Loreta Frankoynte, Katie McKittrick, and our newest member, Alex Babcock.
The family of dogs didn't trust anyone and it turned to be a challenging rescue where everybody had to work together.
The Mutt Scouts: Cadet, Junior, Daisy and Brownie were so scared. It is so sad to see puppies with so many ticks inside their ears, and there is nothing they or their parents can do to help them.
Thanks to your support, we are able to be there for them and change their lives forever! I really hope you will join us today and welcome our newest member, Alex. I was very happy to see how she managed to quickly save the dad.

I love and admire Jo-Ann. She just gets straight into it, knowing her abrupt manhandling any animals may hurt them or herself for a short moment. Goes to show how seasoned she is with rescuing animals.

Sometimes you just gotta step up and grab a dog in order to get it safe. You could get bitten. The dog does not understand you are rescuing it. They understand you are taking them over though. You take them and give them some food and relax time...a safe place.

I appreciate that Eldad shows it's quite possible to rescue animals without doing this. He uses his calm energy which influences the animals to stay calmer in an already traumatic situation. He demonstrates this over and over again in every video I have seen. I think these women did a great job, but their energy is very frenetic (but also they talk. a lot to each other instead of soothing the animals) and it is influencing the animal's energy to be excited and afraid. Though I think Loreta is more like Eldad. I've seen quite a few videos on this channel and when Eldad is not there, that calmness is lacking. I bet having these women practice meditation throughout the week would help them bring their calming presence to these terrified animals and it would reduce risks of biting and injuries. And of course, Eldad has been doing this for a very long time, so the confidence is also a contributor. Maybe if he trained them individually like he did with Loreta that would help too.

All 4 of them are so cute. How quickly they got over their fear of humans when they realized you were only trying to help them. You all did so good at rescuing them all. I hope they find a fur-ever home soon.

Wouldn’t it be awesome if someone could adopt the whole gang. My husband and I did just that when a neighbors pregnant dog wandered up to our house and had 5 puppies. Two of them died but we kept the rest and had all of them spayed and neutered. We live on a farm so we were able to take long walks in the woods with them, they had acres of fields to run around on. I had many happy years with them. They’ve all passed and I really miss them. If I weren’t getting on in age, I’d do the same thing over with another family of dogs.

Maybe now that you're older (me too, lol) you should consider adopting a senior dog. It sounds like you would be the perfect person to give some lucky pooch the best of their golden years. 🥰

I allow both my dogs to roam free on the property I rent but never with out my supervision, especially my Chihuahua being he's so tiny. Thank You guys for your awesome rescues, so thoughtful and kind I really enjoy watching them! Mom and dad and the 2 pups are so adorable, so happy they're safe and off the streets, good job guys!!!!

Whether dog or cat, they are like young children. You wouldn't leave a young child to roam free outside without supervision so you don't let a pet outside unless you are with them. So wonderful to see this sweet family safe and happy. Eldad, I hope your mom is doing better.

All the HFP staff / volunteers are Awesome, but Inparticularly lime watching Joanne in action. I'm so impressed by the way she just rolls up her sleeves to "Get 'er done", and she has a Dog/Cat in her arms almost before the camera is rolling. Mad skills !
