This gives me strength My daughters just started her MP this month and she's just 10 and I'm not there though she has some people to teach her but it was breaking my heart thinking it's too first but I'm relieved now ,, thank you My sister this helps much be blessed
I have not laughed honestly I shed tears. I wish we could have a million Bettys. Do we even know how many of our girls and boys are left to navigate such journeys on their own and end up getting messed up in life. This is my teaching guide to my little 9-10 year old girls in school.
This reminds me when I started my periods @ the age of 16 and I was in form 4.I was young and shy to tell anyone unlike nowadays kids who are 10 but they know everything about girls. I remember even in form 3 class I always fell sick when madam was teaching reproduction and reproductive organs lesson since I knew those are private parts that are not supposed to be discussed in public. The only stress I had was that it started the day I began my K.C.S.E. I never told anyone and I bled till I finished the exam. In short I bled for a long time coz I began on 20th October to 5th Dec. Next was the following year in January. Now for three weeks. After that it went to June three weeks again, till October. It used to be painful. I used to experience thrice a year but I would fall sick to an extent of being hospitalised but I didn't know how to tell my mum. But I thank God after my college education it started changing till today I can experience monthly. What I would tell our lovely mums kindly discuss with your girls this important topics and it's implications. She maybe even twelve years but since she lacks that girl talk from the person supposed to do so she will suffer in silence till the day she will know by herself. Especially those who are brought up in a large family full of boys. I was in between 8 boys, forward and backwards are boys, but God made me pass through the situation successful. Kudos mama for teaching your daughter as early as now.
😂😂 parents you should salute us teachers.....🤣🤣 Betty's explanation about periods almost killed me.,😂😂...... mothers kindly take your daughters through this and tell them openly, about pregnancy also and probably your teenage experiences.... anyway 👍Heko Mama Sky
Really 😂😂am laughing when the kagirl say... U swallow it. Haki the innocence., We need to really teach them honestly. I had a very good session with my 2 daughters about this n felt it was very easy for them to understand.
Am so happy you teach her earlier.Am 21 one now and when I started my period I had no clue what period is.I really cried seeing blood coming out of my virgina.so is good to be there for her, salute
That's Betty for me hata Mimi huwaambia wasiniongeleshe kizungu, wow good lesson mine started at the age of 8yrs na nlikuwa nmewafunza Kila kitu hadi kuvaa pad
I had this talked with my daughter when she was 10, she just turned 11, the same questions and weirdness sky is expressing the same with my daughter. She told me she thought it was pampers for big people....good talk mama
I was shy to talk to my girl when she turned 10, i really didn't know how or where to start. But Thank God the teachers had already started on the lessons, i just asked if she knows what it is and she explained confidently what it was. That made things easier for me. Am happy it started this year when she was 12 and half years, she was so ready for it. What first girl mothers go through. Woi... She was so hapoy to start it. Its been 3months now and she's so good...
Sky, when you're grown enough and watch this you'll really laugh at yourself 😂😂😂... This is an awesome video, when I get kids, mostly a girl I'll talk to her earlier too. Awesome video 😍😍❤❤
I've laughed out through this whole video 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Sky is so innocent but it's good she has a mother who can talk to her about such a sensitive matter. 💯💯
You are a wonderful mama and your daughter is so blessed to have you, she’s a brilliant girl 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾 And I must add that you are blessed to have such an open minded girl. Tell her that some girls can’t wait to see their periods and again it might reach a period where all the girls have it and she would even wish that she was like them Incase she delays to have her period.
Am a teacher and I have learnt a lot from this. TV shows show things but do not explain about it. Isn't it time we started these topics even on national TV shows. There are those kids shows. Right?? Betty kudos. You have nailed it
This one reminds me when my daughter started getting periods 😂 serious I was so nervous because I wasn’t able to explain to her but I’m glad my young sister was there for her to show her every and explained everything to her for me 😃😂🥲
Waoo Betty 4 me. I'm just laughing n also enjoying. Betty, I always follow u ,even in ur songs I'm ur fun. Sincerely u r real. You also hv a bright, confident etc gal. Continue doing that.Kudos.

Wow! they share birthday with my daughter. I hd such a talk with her coz she is turning 11 but we had to watch this with her. Mother of girls chronicles. Big up Betty!
Oh my goodness! What a daughter and mother conversation. Glad you can have a sincere talk with your daughter because not many mothers will have the courage to speak about this. Well done 👏👏👏
Betty thanks for the video and for talking to your daughter. She's so intelligent. Our mums never taught us though I can't complain much as my mum did try to teach me how to apply o.b. Please tell your daughter not to be scared as starting periods is a beautiful thing and a blessing. Tell her that that's how God makes women co-creators and that's how he chose to make us exist.
My mom took me in the market they were different stages of tomatoes. Green, slightly red and soo red. So when I was 9 she told me my tomato in my stomach is green, when I turned 11 she told me now my tomato in my stomach is now slightly red when I turned 13 they came when I was in school I went home crying "mom my tomato turned red and burst however much you are prepared nigumu.
I love the conversation how I wish I could seat and talk even though we talk through video calls I feel I should be doing it face to face but am far.....she turned 13 this year and she keeps asking why she can not start having her period since I told her from age 10 and am happy because she understands things ....looking forward to be back home this year....it's been 4yrs and am looking forward to have this conversation face to face to be satisfied as a mother

Thank, at least this talk has given me strength to talk to my daughter she is 11yrs ,thou am far,but my sis is available she will explain to her &I will also talk to her,,,
Betty hujamuelezea why we get periods that's why she feels weird. Recently I talked with my daughter about the emotions involved with the cycle like needing more love and being attracted to men and boys. We always tell them wajichunge but I thought of coming down to her level and telling her it will definetely happen especially during ovulation but she should be open and talk about it and learn to control her emotions in regards to that to help her avoid boyfriends and pregnancy
Betty congratulations for great parenting style. That’s a great mum daughter talk. Sky, welcome to teen. I know your iPhone 13 expectation was killed by the sanitary pads which mum know you needed them more at this age . You are beautiful smart girl ❤️ .
