She has wonderful stills of Momo playing and climbing trees to watch Monta. I guess the zoo started training him to separate in 2006. Momoko would cry for him. Then one day he went into Monta’s enclosure and the gates were closed. Kinda sad😔It was cool seeing a young Momoko too!

@@MySkinnydip Really? Yikes. I thought they were training him to separate so Momoko could be moved back to Ueno for breeding, and a silverback wouldn’t have accepted huge 6-year-old Momo. Confusing. I always had the impression that Momoko ended up on Monta’s side when the door closed, and was soon sent back to Ueno. And Momo followed but to live at Ueno alone. So Karin’s vid shows Momo actually living with Monta? That seems weird.🤔 I’ll have to look for the vid. Thanks!

In einigen Fällen können sich männliche Gorillas, die sich nicht an die Gorillagesellschaft anpassen können, nicht einmal mit weiblichen Gorillas paaren. Lope was born in 2013 and Shufai was born in 2016. So that was a short time for Lope to nurse. He was such a rascal when Shufai was born so maybe he needed more time with mom. But Shufai nursed for a long time! Ozala would look tired of nursing that big boy!😂 I remember one of the videographers saying that the zoo thought that Tayari was trying to wean Jabali at 2 so they were giving him supplement. But then Tayari got better at nursing or Jabali got more forceful! But it’s all good now as we all can see!🙏🏽🙂

@@MySkinnydip you are right about the Birthday date’s but this was an older video about Ozala and letting him drink and I can’t remember which one it was but you’re also right she didn’t look like she was comfortable lol. And Thank you I didn’t know that the zookeeper’s was giving Jabali supplements, I have seen in videos (here recently)when he eats from the left side he has to squeeze the breast to I guess get more milk 🥛.. How are you doing now days good I’m hoping me still here lol 😂

@@ZombieQueen819 Poor Ozala would try to nap and her big boy would come to lay on her and nurse!🥲I think she had to baby Shufai more because Lope was such an outgoing older brother! But yes one of Tayari’s breast doesn’t seem to give as much milk as the other. Jabali sure squeezes to get every last drop! But I’m doing good! Working hard!🙂

Well there are larger Silverbacks and smaller Silverbacks. Momotaro looked big and muscular when he was younger. Riki looks the same but not as quite muscular. It will be interesting to see for sure!😊
