Watching Asher eat reminds me so much of all the Gemma vlogs. He enjoys eating and makes the same sounds eating as Gemma. 💜 so adorable. Darik you are such a wonderful father that really pours energy and love into your children. I’m glad Cara was able to get away with Gemma as I’m sure a break from all kids was appreciated. She is an amazing Mom! Thanks for the reminder of what is important as I know we are definitely living in uncertain times. My faith in the Lord is my strength. I was beyond stoked to see another vlog from you guys! 😍 I know life has been crazy, especially with Darik working at Chatwin Homes, so anytime you’re able to upload a vlog just know that I sincerely appreciate it because I know how much time goes into creating and uploading each vlog. I cannot get over how grown up all the kids are now! I started following your channel when Gemma was about Asher’s age, and it has truly been such an incredible adventure and I am so grateful that I’ve had the privilege to witness all 5 of them growing up! 🥰 The clip of Asher eating tamales was the best throwback to the adorable “Gemma Eats” clips, it’s crazy how much they look alike! It looks like you had a great time staying home and bonding with most of the kiddos for a week Darik, and I’m sure that Cara had an incredible time with Gemma having that special one-on-one mommy-daughter time in the warm sunshine ☺️ As hard as it is being apart from your partner, sometimes it’s nice to have a small break away because it gives you a chance to actually miss each other and truly appreciate even the tiniest things that have become so normal in the typical day-to-day chaotic routines. I’ve been with my partner for a little over 15 years now and with him working in the music industry he’s typically gone for about half of the year, so having that chance to miss each other I swear has actually strengthened our relationship (as hard as it can be in the moment). That homecoming will always be the best! 🥰 But thank you so much for uploading a vlog for us, I miss your entire family like crazy and it just makes my heart so happy to see all of your smiling faces again! 😍 And Darik that closing bit at the end is something that everyone needs to hear. As dark as life has been for a lot of us lately there is still light in this crazy yet beautiful world we live in, we just need to choose to find it and share it to others that also need it. 🥰 As always, sending so much love and light to the entire Chatwin family!! 💕 PS - Darik you’re editing skills are insane! I see I'm not the only one who couldn't help but compare Asher's eating faces and noises with Gemma when she was about that age. Your kids are all adorable and I love how polite they are too. It's more important than most people realize. As they get older it will definitely pay off.

This vlog was so enjoyable and fun with the kids . I do miss cara and Gemma but with Derek and the kids it was amazing . Baby Asher is so adorable the way he eat and is a little shy he super cute and wren she just so pretty and very attentive and Reese she like to lay low but I love her energy towards her brothers and sister and royal the energetic boy who isn’t afraid of anything..they all are just so adorable ❤
