He was raised by a Mexican woman. In Mexico we say "Apaga la vela" which literally translated means "turn off the candle". Even though we know the correct way of saying it, sometimes things get lost in translation (I personally slip up on that one all the time). Let's not make a big deal out of it :)

Yeya yea and i get it, I was raised in a very traditional mexican family. But you have to admit that brennen is NOT your typical latin kid. his mom is a 2nd generation women and barely speaks spanish. Brenen barely speaks spanish as well so that quote that you provided wouldn't apply to his life.

Claudia Dayana Oh, I had no idea! I assumed his mom was Mexican (as in actually born and raised in Mexico) especially after seeing his hilarious abuelita in another video... but yeah then I can't say anything LOL. I do agree with you that he isn't a typical mexican or half mexican kid, I just assumed he grew up hearing it said like that around the house. Thanks for the clarification... I tried to help :)
