Just let Lucy's hair be natural. Learning to love my naturally curly hair was a hard journey that I am still on and teaching her from a young age that she needs to use heat tools to style it may cause her to damage her hair and lose the gorgeous, natural hair she has. Please, I am speaking from experience. Teach her to love it and not show her how to change it because it 'looks better'. All love❤️

She did the rollers on top because the bottom is curly and the top is not as curly. That is why they tried doing that.

Emily MacMurray Yes but she was saying she has to use heat to curl the top. Using heat can damage especially young fragile hair. It also takes away from loving the natural state. Having and loving the natural state of her hair is important. Let it be wild and not have Lucy worrying about the tidiness constantly. I’m not questioning her actions it’s just something to keep in mind that I learned through experience. :)

i really urge you to look into The Curly Girl Method for Lucy! I have naturally curly hair and have never known how to look after it because my mom has straight hair. Since finding The Curly Girl Method my curls are so much more defined and easier to manage.

If you want the loose curls, you can try using pins (bobby pins, or softer pins you can get at CVS)! When hair is slightly damp, you wrap the amount you want around your fingers (# of fingers depends how tight you want the curls) and then pin them to her head. A lot less intense and may work better :)

My mom use to put curlers in my hair when I was little. I hated it. It was so uncomfortable to sleep on and seriously came out so crazy curly. Haha. It was kind of cute in the end when it fell a bit.

Curly hair girl, here! Taming the curls is a constant journey! 😂😂 I found not using terry cloth towels, and putting a little gel/cream when it’s still wet is SO helpful with the wavy/curly layers! Devacurl has super good curly hair products. 😊 Also, naturallycurly.com is such a good resource! It’s like google for curly hair questions! Loved Lucy with the power washer, and Gladys’ messages! 😂😂 she is the sweetest! Loving these vlogs. ❤️

Hahahaha😂🙌🏽 if I wasn’t traveling right now, I would go thru my prints of my daughter when she was little and I swear...this EXACT thing happened to my daughter's hair with the pink foam rollers 😂 ....and your Mom with the Marco Polo app🤣😆 I swear my kids think I'm a knuckle head every time I send them a group text with a funny meme or something. the new pixar pier is amazing!! it's seriously so fun. all the colors and theming is PERFECT! i didn't get to try a lot of food because i just got invisalign, but i did try the new inside out cake pops and... not good!! don't bother trying it!

What do you use to film your videos? My sister is also wanting to start a vlog. She is looking into Canon camera (I shoot Nikon so I haven't been too much help choosing a Canon). I want a GoPro Hero 7. haha! But that's more for being outdoors, and I'm not sure she wants to go that route. So just asking cause your quality is sharp and that's what she wants. Thank you!

Maybe you could do cute little half up space buns in her hair. Then you can see her pretty curls and have the wavy stuff up. My hair is the same way! It can be annoying sometimes.

The curls!! 😂 😍 Once I tried a comb in my daughters hair and got it stuck. We had to cut the comb out!! Glad she recovered and your hair issues was an easy fix!

My hair was super similar to Lucy’s when I was little. Unfortunately it’s still like that to this day! So so so curly everywhere except the top layer where it’s just frizzy frizzy haha 😂😂😂

Try the rollers again. Do it on slightly damp not wet and way larger sections. Or get larger rollers?

When Imogen was little and her hair was curly, we had the same problem - curly underneath, not so much on top. Only I made the mistake of "layering" her hair, with scissors, all on my own, so that the curls underneath would show. Leave it to the professionals.
