The rules need to change and not be whatever the umpire says is right, even if it's clearly wrong. They need to allow video replays. Sure these can take time but like challenges they should allow teams a couple of them when it's not a hawkeye issue.

agree! video replays is what they should do, for every protests. I mean umpire have to lower their pride too about their word is the rules so be it when sometimes they're CLEARLY wrong, and sometimes they can't lol

Tennis and Badminton has the same problem . Bad referees who won't change their decisions even if they know they're in the wrong.

Don't forget the Umpires don't have the benefit of slowmo like you and I have. If they didn't see something then they have to stick with the wrong call. It just happens.

@angelkilier remember that there are times when they are clearly wrong, like that one time the umpire call kevin fault when there is no way he touched it, it was about a meter away from him. But the main problem isn't the umpire, it's the organization, you have hawkeye, you have so many cameras around the court, make one of them do a replay to contest stupid or controversial calls, that isn't about in/out

This is all because the umpire judgement at the moment, back then between Lee Chong Wei and Lin Dan era most of the umpire is very consistent,nowadays almost all of them will take it personal towards the player and some of them don't even fully committed to their job.

Stg badminton has the most poorly organized umpires in any sport. In tennis they get so much time to settle down and take their time While in this sport u get tortured if not penalized for utter bs. This is what made me not wanna play and compete

Yeah, Malaysia people usually don't get frustrated but sometimes they get a bit frustrated, but Lee Chong Wei only got frustrated one time I think.

I understand, the Umpire is also part of the sport, you get some wrong calls that go your way or not. However, with today's technology, a quick look or challenge for a replay should be allowed.
