He's been speaking in public all along. You just have to follow him, which the media won't do because it's boring and doesn't get clicks like all this drama does.
Others were dissuaded from running. DNC is very hierarchical. Also the dems control almost all of media. Thus they IGNORED Dean Philipps - the only one to challenge Biden. Next- those who went third party not only did the media ignore, but states would not allow them to appear on the ballots or join debates. As was stated in the original comment, there was no primary for the DNC
@@mma171 Dean Philips did, Marianne Williamson did (as usual), and others could have. Joe ran again because beating Trump in 2020 didn't get rid of him, and we then had January 6th. That's why he's in it again. No one else has the record to run on that he does, but the "momentum" for him to step down is from the media who refuse to cover the historic accomplishments that this admin and explain them to the public.
Biden campaign saying that Biden is the only one who can beat Trump is as ridiculous as Trump saying that he is the only one who can fix things. Both of them need to retire and enjoy the last few years they have remaining on a beach somewhere.
@@DKK Trump is also old and senile too. They both shouldn't be running. Honestly I'm looking forward to the 2028 election where neither of them will be likely running.
The US could look forward to four years of 'imagining what will be, unburdened by what has been'. (with the hand movements) What could possibly go wrong?
And When we think about the significance of the passage of time, there is great significance of the passage of time. But my favorite… We will work together, and continue to work together, to address these issues…and to work together as we continue to work, operating from the new norms, rules, and agreements, that we will convene to work together...we will work on this together." So deep!!
Why can we accept the fact that Biden is very sick in terms of physical and medical conditions? It is very cruel to see he has to come out in public suffer and insult himself again.
@@armandoacevedo6978 If he when to step down then he will respect for all accomplishments that he did for the last 40 years. Otherwise he will be reliable for all the failures for the next election.
@@kimanhle1197 Joe Biden advocated and passed strict policies and laws that negatively impacted mostly black and people of color, bragged about throwing people in jail for almost anything, created and passed laws to keep blacks from sitting next to his white kids in school, supported laws against abortion and gay marriage, went after social security and medicare, supported and championed false wars and troop surges for oil, helped create the burn pits, helped bomb and kill THOUSANDS, and was one of the few Democrats who sided with credit-card companies that were trying to make it harder for people to declare bankruptcy and in 2005 supported and championed the bill that stripped students of bank of bankruptcy protections and left millions in financial stress. Joe Biden has been part of the problem all along!
There were primaries. People voted for him. Forcing him to step down is the opposite. Please simply say that democrats have to win because they want to at all costs.
@straightopoint They could right after they get Biden to step down. In fact, why don't they go out to their favourite Chinese restaurant for lunch, or dinner, do it over Peking Duck.😊
Do you mean Jeffries instead of Pelosi? Pelosi likely has a lot of influence in an advisory capacity but she's no longer in a leadership role, whereas Jeffries is the Minority Leader and presumed Speaker if Dems retake control in January. His willingness to work with Biden is much more important as a practical matter.
Drop out the race? Oh it’s way past that. He needs to step out from office entirely. He’s not running the country as it is. How are you ok with an infirmary senior for a President?
Former donor $2,300 for Progressives...what a failure. Ive been ripped off by scatter-shot Bernie and the poser AOC. ..both voted more militarism ..both want open border ..both did nothing during Railroad strike
It's interesting that Tina Fordham mentions Gavin Newsome and a double ticket from California. This is actually not allowed according to the US Constitution. So I'm surprised that someone talking about the election would be so ill-informed on such a basic bit of knowledge. Personally, I think that Biden should step down today (Fourth of July!) and let Harris be the incumbent president in the November elections.
He has to stay in office, otherwise Harris can't step out on the campaign trail because of risks to her life. Remember, the fascist fanatics will have little Mikie Johnson, the insurrection architect next in line for the Presidency. I don't think there can be an interim vice president appointed. So, Biden needs to forsake re-election, but not resign his office.
They need to get the military in there to remove the shadow government and help Joe get the help he needs. Just put Trump in now, it would help speed up the rebuilding process.
Have these panelists forgotten about Harris' disastrous presidential primary campaign in 2020? She was one of the first, if not the first, candidate to drop out. She was wildly unpopular with the Democratic electorate and her campaign was riddled with stories about incompetence and mismanagement. Has anything changed since then? Does she have any sort of policy successes that she can point to in order to burnish her credentials? Somebody please tell me, because I don't see any. Sure, maybe a Harris candidacy will energize the progressive wing of the Democratic Party but anyone else? Not so much. In my view, the only realistic way that the Dems win the election in November is if Biden steps down, and the party nominates a Biden-like figure to run. Someone that's seen as a moderate Democrat that can appeal to not only Independents but also disaffected Republicans. In my view, the best people to do that are Democratic governors in red states, of which, surprisingly, there are a few. Someone like Roy Cooper (NC), or Andy Beshear (KY), or Laura Kelly (KS). But they probably won't do that because of identity politics and infighting.
They won't because of identity politics. DNC did this to themselves when there was ZERO pushback when Buden said his VP will be a black woman (regardless of qualification) and that thr Supreme Court Justice will be a black woman (regardless of qualification). This penchant to virtue signal will cause the DNC to lose many elections DESPITE illegals crossing the border. Why? When it becomes obvious that the DNC is favoring one group over others (BW) then other groups will grow resentful that they have no chance to advance politically in the party - and people of those cotter communities will become more like to support GOP and 3rd party candidates. It is clear that WM are not as welcomed in the DNC. But now it is becoming more clear that even Ww, Hispanics, and Asians will increasingly have a tough time advancing in DC - all because democrats are pricing box checking over qualifications.
If memory serves me right. Joe; said: “The only reason he would seek a second term. Would be, if; Trump, was also seeking a second term.” He said; “I am, the only one, that can beat him.” What if, Trump: Was not running for President. What if, Trump: Said, he was pulling out of the race. It appears to me that, Joe; Would no longer have any reason to run. More willing to step down. What if, Trump: Then said that he was supporting; Tim Scott, For President, and that he would also be in support of, whomever; Tim, chooses for his, Vice-President. Come; Convention time. Tim Scott, gets the; ‘Republican Party’ Nomination. Now, Tim; say’s. I would like to interduce my, Vice-President Elect: Mr. Donald J Trump! It’s time; to ‘Clean the Swamp’: Once and for all!
Technically any political party can choose its own nominee through whatever procedure they want. There’s no law saying that political parties have to choose their nominees through primaries.
@@hillerm Agreed. Democrats have circumvented the will of their electorate very well. Hillary over Bernie. Biden over Bernie and now the DNC will be choosing Bidens replacement, NOT their voters.
Even if Biden doesn't have a "problem" (something I do not think), then his failure to recognize that the debate was his "Michael Jordan with the flu" moment alone is reason to consider removing him as the candidate.
Harris doesn’t have to pick a Midwesterner. Mark Kelly would be an excellent running mate: The mild-mannerism of Joe Biden (but at a “youthful” age 60), star power from the Navy and NASA, and of course he can deliver Arizona.
@@zenbooter I lived in cali for 14 years and saw it get progressively worse over the time he was in office. I like him but think his candidacy will not be well received.
Though a BIG problem, it now appears Kamala is on the chopping block as well. Newsom and Whitmer are chomping at the edges. The feeding frenzy is picking up speed.
I've never been a fan of Biden (I remember the Clarence Thomas hearings). But the far bigger problem is the combination of Donald's insanity, the Supreme Court's fascist declaration that a President can have impunity for crimes and Project 2025's plan for theocracy.
What about RFK? Does he get a chance? As an European citizen I 'm watching this from outside(so to speak) and I 'm stating that many Americans believe Trump would " heal "at once the destruction the Biden administration caused! Is that true? I appreciate your response!
President Biden should ask House Speaker Jeffries to be his Vice President: Vice President Harris should have supported President Biden, yet she is talking about herself being President.
what legacy?? Joe Biden advocated and passed strict policies and laws that negatively impacted mostly black and people of color, bragged about throwing people in jail for almost anything, created and passed laws to keep blacks from sitting next to his white kids in school, supported laws against abortion and gay marriage, went after social security and medicare, supported and championed false wars and troop surges for oil, helped create the burn pits, helped bomb and kill THOUSANDS, and was one of the few Democrats who sided with credit-card companies that were trying to make it harder for people to declare bankruptcy and in 2005 supported and championed the bill that stripped students of bank of bankruptcy protections and left millions in financial stress. Yay let’s have some democracy after we pretended to have democracy while lying to everyone the last 3 years (authoritarianism), so yeah now lets SAVE DEMOCRACY 😅😅😅😅
So typical of Bloomberg that Kamala Harris's chance of becoming Presidential candidate is displayed like a stock ticker of Kamala Harris's (KAMHA?) share price. 🤣🤣🤣
If this woman is running, for sure I will vote for Trump! All my die hard democrat friends says the same thing. She is an embarrassment to our country.
Irresponsible the way Bloomberg focuses on stories like this and ignores the blatant lies Trump spewed throughout the debate and the genuine threat to democracy that he poses.
You are correct. The only attributes Harris brings are age, gender and ethnicity - she has shown absolutely nothing of substance in her roll as VP to warrant a nomination for President. The best bet would be a moderate governor who could rally the vast majority of Americans in the center politically.
Democracy at work! 😂 The Dems disregarded both RFK, Jr. and Dean Phillips (the only Democrat willing to stick his neck out and tell the truth). You make your bed, you lie in it. Just gross 🤮.
I absolutely agree. Beshear is the best chance for Democrats. Beshear is the only one who can beat Trump. Biden will lose to Biden. Over 70% of ALL voters including Democrats and Independents thinks Biden is unfit to be President. Kamala Harris is too close to a Biden and she is incompetent. She doesn’t have a chance against Trump. She has way too much negative publicity. She’s done along with Biden.
It's simply bizarre that he won the nomination via the primaries. It's obvious that ego, blind loyalty, and back slapping arrogance were drivers rather than good common sense. Certainly the prospect of campaigning against Trump would have had strong candidates pass.
@@guitarslim56 He is the presumptive nominee having won a candidate selection process. We'll see how things play out from here given his debate performance.
One path to a possible winning lane is simply to double down on reproductive freedom and women rights with a Harris/ Whitmer (Michigan in jeopardy). Market that!
Sorry but by this time next year harris will be our president no matter what. Either he gets too old, or he is in it right now just to win and then hand over the reins (harris wont win with votes, thats for sure)
