Yes depending on what the malocclusion is caused by jaw surgery may the best option. For example if the bad bite is being caused by misaligned teeth then orthodontic treatment such as braces can solve the problem. However in this case the problem was the position of the jaw which needed to be moved to help align it with her upper jaw

Looking at the earlier photos... the girl had all the teeth... and then it disappeared. What actually happened to her ? Did she not take care of herself, and then her mouth gotten some bacterial germs and it went from worst and worst ??? She must've been a very very young mom....
Having jaw surgery to fix a functional issue - fine. But she had a rhinoplasty and double eyelid surgery too. Won’t her kids be disturbed if she no longer looks like them?
