You can tell that Mei’s VA struggles a bit in formulating her answer to the question in English, and she’s such a sweetheart for sticking with it and doing her best. :3
Lots of respect for her. Speaking a foreign language in a public event like that is not easy. The pronounciation between english and chinese is way different and it’s really not easy to everyone.
English is my second language and even though I've improved a lot over last 2-3 years, I feel her struggle and can relate to it. I dare to say it was my biggest fear for years to find myself in a situation where I just can't find right words. I can't be sure it wouldn't happen to me since if I were to talk in front of such a huge crowd, I'd probably forgotten my first name, not to mention remembering some lines for the character she acts for or being able to answer random questions. So props to Elise Zhang (as far as I could google in like 10 mins, that's her name) for being so cool despite the struggle.
well, yeah.. when she isnt freezing people to death and brutally shooting big sharp pieces of ice through their brains killing them instantly and laughing afterwards while ironically saying "sorry sorry im sorry sorry" with a false innocent voice.
bennyboooooy hahaha it pays to advertise. And it is a little annoying to hear him bring it up often, but it might be of interest for some of the attendees. He feels professional to me because his responses are very eloquent and we'll structured. Compare them with Junkrat's VA for example.
i feel like the graphics are underrated, if you go into a custom game by yourself and just walk around, it’s honestly amazing the detail and everything
Yess that's true,, I compare the current widow's voice to widow's voice in 'how to play widow' or something like that by blizzard and I think Chloe do it better tho
48:09 - "Chrispin is so articulate, and well spokeeen!" Love it. I agree. Very professional guy, he seems to have his hands dipped in a lot of topics! He sort of led this panel.
46:11 hahaha they are all dressed in black and have dark hair colors.... it makes it seem like Chloe is the only one filmed in color while they rest are in black and white XD
am i the only one that thought the audience was so awkward and quiet.... id be such a nervous wreck as the voice actor stood there just listening to silence as i answered questions lmfao
Omg...Elise IMMEDIATELY responds and turns when Crispin refers to her as “Mei” trying to get her attention. Guess we are turning her adorable level up to 11 now, which I thought was illegal...
I Absolutely resonate with Crispin's mindset! He is such an open minded guy and his point is very true. The tech and all goes really far but it keeps disconnecting us and making our lives more distant and it really counts for every art area sadly… There is nothing stronger than communication, connection with surroundings, instead of everyone closing themselves in expecting everything to be done in few minutes without ever seeing the person.
I'm in love with Crispin. Well not truly, but after watching this con I really admire him - his dedication, voice acting skills. I believe he is a great tutor too. Just listen, he gives long and meritorious (?) answers, really focused on sharing his wisdom with listeners. Truly inspiring character with passion for what he does. Smart guy with nice dose of humor. Ps. All of them are great, but also notice that Jen is also amazed with his answers ;)
he is really, really shy. notice how he has been in 2 of Carolina's video but never on camera? or how he doesn't get in group pictures? he's literally a shadow, haha.
Tokyo He was at BlizzCon 2016 and i think (don’t quote me on this) BlizzCon 2017. Some of the Main always there people weren’t at this like Lucio(I completely Forget the actors name), Darin De Paul as Rein, Sombra.
I can relate to the kid who asked what's the hardest part of being a VA. Because I was at the con too, but I was at a different panel it was the youtubers panel with Akidearest, Glass reflection, Misty Chronexia, and Gaijin Goombah, and it was during the question. Everyone who had a question was like in their 20s-30s and there is 12 year old me 5 months ago . It was my first time meeting someone famous and my first con, so I was nervous, but I asked my question and it was worth it.
wow I live in Atlanta, my sister had her graduation the same day as this event. Came to GWCC and saw momocon... didn’t know what it was and thought it was just a lot of weirdos... but it’s a lot better than I thought!
I met him in person on 2008 at Minneapolis conference; then 2009 at Fanexpo; 2010 at Minneapolis conference; 2012 at KamiCon; and I went to his online voice workshops from 2014 to 2016
oh wtf, was that joke of playing as your characters the reason players keeps asking me if I am the real voice actor of the reaper when I do reaper impressions while playing? u are making my life a hell, it doesn´t feel good with the disappointment in the kids voices when I say "what? no, but I might be your daddy" in the reaper voice :D
It seem Overwatch VAs have confirm about their Overwatch game experience: Chris Parson:His gameplay is terrible when he plays game in 5 or 6 seconds Jen Cohn:Her gameplay is terrible as fail twice as Pharah Chloe Hollings:Her gameplay is terribly wrong despite she plays as daily life with Keith Silverstein as he teach her about playing. Crispin Freeman:His gameplay is good despite not fan at all but what he describe it just like video Elise Zhang:Her gameplay is terrible due her characters she choose is keep killed by opposing team and all player who play that other characters in her make protect her as protection as Mei and VAs' fans instead protect payload. She tried Junkrat despite it looks ridiculous
All the chit chat I see of the VAS, I’m guessing they were helping the Mei’s VA about the question, if that’s wat it looks like then I think that was really kind of them.
