Everyone thought it'd be the exact opposite too. But the only people getting top 8 with Peach, Pichu, Snake, Pikachu, Olimar are the same people that have been playing them for years, some even a whole decade. This top 8 had 16 different characters alone.
Just here to say some random stuff. Don’t mind me. Tweek is actually PC_Chris’ great great grandson that came back in time to save us from Leo. Leo will continue switching mains to the newest DLC every time one comes out. He alone will get them all nerfed into the ground. You can nerf a character but you can’t nerf Leo. Dabuz is actually the hero of our timeline. Snake and Olimar are our only hopes against the future DLCs (Steve, Dante, Nairo, and Light’s sleeves) Salem is never actually in a controversy. Big Lef hacks his account. HBOX eventually becomes the best Ultimate player in the year 2023 when Nintendo gives JIGGLYPUFF Uthrow>Rest on every DLC character as a way to balance them. ZeRo comes back in late 2020 saying that he is “just a streamer” but still beating everyone with his pocket Kirby. Nairo will eventually switch back to maining ZSS after a nerf to Palutena’s projectiles. He also builds a reputation of playing the entire cast in every tournament set. Lastly, I want to thank Ally, MVD, and Salem for being the best Shulk mains without anyone knowing. Have a great day!
@@sparkyspinz9897 I'm in the camp of liking DI because I've learned to do mine and play around my opponent's (to a degree, at least). Makes things a lot more enjoyable imo
It seems like at the middle of the match, tweek noticed that MKleo has been using his defensive plays against tweek. So tweek decided to be more aggressive because MKleo wouldn't expect tweek to be aggressive even though he has a dangerous counter.
None of these players are better than the other just because one person bashing through one tournament doesn't mean its going to be the same in the next tournament.
@@blablablabla3878 I really enjoyed the Cloud ditto when they played that. Cloud would have been a cool top character, he can be edgegaurded, gets punished hard because he's a swordie with swordie slower frame data, and he's cool to watch. He would have allowed a lot more characters as counterplay agaisnt him. Too bad Bayo had to go and just completely ruin smash 4.
Leo did manage to beat Marss in QF at Momo so it seems kinda of even. Or Leo has improved in the ZSS matchup since GOML Tweet vs Leo is weird. Leo has gone on record on how he hates to fight Tweek since he can’t get a good read on him,but still does well on him
@Kaito Yagyu when you have horizontal momentum in the air, press b and then immediately move the control stick in the opposite direction that you are moving in, it has to be after you press b. Only a few characters get a use out of this though, but command grabs and projectiles(especially chargeable ones) have the best use of it in my opinion.
Marss understood from the beginning that you have to be aggressive when Joker does not have his Persona, but be more neutral and patient when he releases Arsene (something like dealing with Snake's grenades). Tweek just was too aggressive in the first set and was punished so hard (actually the same thing almost happened to him against Ally). But he was too cautious in second set and he took so many time to get the kills. He dug his own grave.
@Wawawa In first set Tweek got kills much faster, there's no reason to be too cautious against a Joker without Arsene in grand finals. Ironically Tweek charges directly over Joker after losing a stock instead waiting and spending the Arsene meter as much as possible, like Marss (and everybody) does. No Johns, the facts don't lie. The good news is that means Tweek's Wario can beat Leo the next time, he just need to study the hell out of this set. The bad news is Marss can beat Tweek next time, he just need to study the Roy Matchup.
@@fortressofsolitude2960 The problem is waiting for Arsene to go on the platform meter takes up your invincibility time. That's why Leo was able to turn game 5 around aganist Marss. If marss had just run up and grab, wouldn't have been able to punish it since Marss was still invincible.
Leo have won two of the three Supermajors this year, for the Panda Global Ranking. Genesis: 1st Leo, 9th Tweek Frostbite: 1st Tweek, 2nd Leo Momocon: 1st Leo, 2nd Tweek Although both of them are in a differente level, definitely, Leo ha the advantage in results.
@@fortressofsolitude2960 yea, I think what Marss needed was a good sponsor to explote all their potential. I have seen him since smash 4, and always thought that he has insane skill, reaction and good playstyle (aggresive). Sorry for my english, I am mexican xD
@@blowjobreceiver5371 yes, but if I am no wrong, Summit will be not count in the PGR (I don't know why). And for Pound, I think is a "A" level tournament.
I haven’t played smash since brawl and haven’t really kept up with it but I love persona and saw that joker was in the game, and seeing this makes me want to get it ngl
This is a great set! It got really intense! *SPOILERS* Well done! Leo is so much fun to watch! That guy has a lot of skill. MKLEO and TWEEK are easily the best two Ultimate players. I am looking forward to seeing these two in some future Grand Finals.
Leo is not really fun to watch, hence why he gets so much hate, specially when using swordies. He's just the effective type of player, not the showman.
@@necromax13 he won the match with possibly the most stylish down smash I've ever seen, Joker center stage, & I'm quite sure that was very deliberate, boy has hella style. & he was throwing pointless wave lands into his movement with Ike probably just to style on his opponents before this too.
Wario won tournaments through Tweek and Glutonny in early Ultimate and most still class him in high tier. Joker is going to need way more results than this.
@@sharsasuke01 I doubt it, plenty of other characters are able to pull nuts shit. MKLeo is a crazy player with or without Joker. Tweek destroys most top players with Wario, but many don't even put him in the top 6-8 characters,
Don't listen to these comments. I'm sure there was a moment where MKLeo and Tweek had doubts that they would get this good. They are only human, like you. Of course though, if you want to play as good as them, you'd have to train hard on a daily basis. Learn about your characters strengths and weaknesses as well as the other characters(Especially top-tier and high-tier characters).
@@biffyguybiffy6292 He means himself Biffy. Plus even if it is incredibly unlikely for people to topple players like these, they all came from somewhere. It may take losing in a lot of tournaments, but eventually someone could take down Leo and Tweek.
train often rather than train hard , make Smash an easy part of your every day routine, improving your fundamental play, shadowboxing match ups, talk over match ups with others to accelerate your acquisition of knowledge driven by curiosity on how to beat characters, don't fuck your hands up or burn yourself out on playing, but live the game. Can't see a person not eventually reaching a really high level of play with that, aside from oc also needing to match yourself vs people.
MKleo is my one of favorite players if not my favorite. He is a more offensive player who's gotta go fast, Like ultimate compared to other smash games other than melee
