ان کا تعلق اقلیتی برادری سے تھا۔ دل میں وطن کی محبت اور خدمت کا بے پناہ جذبہ لیے وہ سی۔ ایس۔ ایس کا امتحان پاس کر کے کسٹم میں بطور ڈپٹی کلیکٹر بھرتی ہوئے۔ کچھ عرصہ کسٹم میں گزارنے کے بعد ادراک ہوا کہ کس طرح کسٹم کا صدیوں پراناسست سسٹم، جو کہ کرپٹ افیسران کے حق میں تھا، ملکی خزانے کونقصان پہنچا رہا ہے۔ چیرمین کسٹم کی درخواست پر اپنے چند ساتھیوں کی مددسے جدید ٹیکنالوجی اور عصری تقاضوں کے مطابق ایسا سسٹم تجویز کیا کہ جس کے فعال ہوتے ہی ادارے میں ایک انقلاب آگیا۔ وہ کام جو پہلے 12دنوں میں مکمل ہوتا اور جس کے لیے تاجروں کو اعلی افیسران کے ترلے کرنے پڑتے اور "تحفے تحائف" دینے پڑتے اب محض 4گھنٹوں میں اور بغیر کسی رشوت و سفارش کے ہونے لگا۔ ملکی خزانے کو بھی بے پناہ فائدہ پہنچا۔ مگر کسٹم میں موجود وہ رشوت خور افسران کہ جن کو اپنی منتیں ترلے کروانے اور تحفے تحائف لینے کی لت پڑ چکی تھی اس بات سے سخت ناخوش تھے۔ حکومتی سطح پر بھی اس قدم کو ناپسندیدگی کی نگاہ سے دیکھا جانے لگا اور بالآخر انہیں یہ سسٹم متعارف کرانے کی قیمت چکانی پڑی۔ انہیں ساتھیوں سمیت کرپشن کے بے بنیاد الزامات لگا کر معطل کردیا گیا۔ ایف۔ بی۔ آر اور نیب کا رخ ان کے گھروں کی طرف کر دیا گیا۔ ان کے نام ای۔ سی۔ ایل میں ڈال دیے گئے۔ بجلی کے بلوں سے لے کر بچوں کے سکول کی فیسوں تک ایک ایک چیز پر پوچھ گچھ کی گئی۔ کئی سال لگاتار ذہنی اذیت میں رکھا گیا۔ مگر ایک روپے کی کرپشن بھی ثابت نہ کی جاسکی۔ بلآخر مقدمات واپس لینے پڑگئے۔ ان کے ساتھی اس سب سے دل برداشتہ ہو کر ملک چھوڑکر چلے گئے مگر وہ پھر بھی ملک میں رہے۔ یہ بات کچھ بااثر لوگوں کو پسند نہ آئی تو ملک سے غداری اور سی۔ آئی۔ اے ایجنٹ ہونے کاالزام لگا کر ان کے پیچھے خفیہ اداروں کولگا دیا گیا۔ مگر یہاں بھی ان کرپٹ عناصر کو منہ کی کھانی پڑی۔ بالآخر ایک طویل عرصے تک اذیت دینے کے بعد کسٹم نے انہیں بحال کردیا۔ انہوں نے مزید اس ادارے کے لیے کام کرنے سے معذرت کی اور اپنے اوپر لگے تمام الزامات کاسامنہ کرنے کے بعد فیملی سمیت کینیڈا منتقل ہوگئے۔ یہ ہیں عاشر عظیم۔ پاکستان ڈرامہ انڈسٹری کی تاریخ کے شاہکار ڈرامہ سیریل "دھواں" کے رائٹر، ڈائریکٹر اور ایکٹر۔ کچھ عرصہ قبل ہی ان کی فلم "مالک" کے پاکستان بھر میں چرچے رہے مگر کیوں کہ وہ فلم بھی پاکستان کی کرپٹ اشرافیہ اور سیاست دانوں کے خلاف تھی اس لیے اسے بھی طرح طرح کی پابندیوں کاسامنہ کرنا پڑا۔ عاشر عظیم نے اپنی کل جمع پونجی اس فلم پر لگادی تھی جس کی وجہ سے ان کا تمام سرمایہ بھی ڈوب گیا۔ آجکل عاشر عظیم کینیڈا میں ٹرک چلا کر رزق حلال کما کر رھے ھیں ۔۔ #سیاسی بھاگوڑہ
