The reason for the season today! After 3 wild catch-and-release Coho, a fin-clipped hatchery fish finally jumped aboard to round out our morning and get mom her much deserved birthday fish. The wind jumped to 25 knot gusts and the ocean got ugly immediately after this--took 45 minutes to crawl 3.5 miles back to Newport. Last day of the select Coho season--non-select opens September 1st in our area.
