This case is about what happened from May -Aug. 2023. The father was out of the picture then and for a year. If he gets charged for what happened in the RU-vid channel all those years, it would be separate and come later. But it's doubtful.

The deal is, 2 charges of the 6 are dropped. Only charged with 4 counts of child abuse. In this case, I'm glad the children won't have to testify and go through a court process.

If they didnt made deals the children would have to testify and be traumatised for a second time! A deal is the best that can happen in this kind of scenario! They will go to prison for years!

@@-greentoad Four, second degree felony charges is what they both plead to. Each count has the potential of one to fifteen years behind bars. I haven’t read much about Jodi’s plea deal… Ruby’s plea deal had her sentences all running consecutively, (also called cumulative) which means, she must serve the first count fully, the second count does not start running until the first sentence ends, then it continues on the same until her last count.

I grew up in it, and I would consider it one of the most abusive experiences of my life. That doesn't justify how far Ruby and Jodi took it, but what they were doing on camera wouldn't have raised eyebrows around here. Think about it... They send every 18yo boy on a 2 year mission away from home, could be anywhere. They are left in pretty bad conditions if they aren't in the states, there's so many horror stories because 18 is too young and there do it so they can seal the indoctrination for life. It's sick. Both my bf's sons came home from SA with parasites and depression so bad they were sick for years, and never the same. Mormon Stories has so many horror stories it's sad.

No one knows all the facts of every single case, apart from the prosecutors (I’m including investigating officers with prosecutors), defense counsel, defendant/defendants & most of the time the victims, if there are, in fact, a victim or victims in a case. I’ve yet to see a criminal case where there aren’t at least a few problems with the case that could affect the outcome of a case, no matter how small those problems are, as far as the prosecution side goes, therefore, there are reasons for plea offers. That being said, prosecutors are not required by law to make an offer for a plea. In the rare event an offer isn’t made by a prosecutor, the defendant can do an open plea before the Court.

In Ruby’s plea deal she agreed to consecutive sentences, so she may be in her cage a little longer…

There was talk about reopening Jessi Hildebrandt’s case against her Aunt Jodi. It happened a long time ago, yet, Jodi was still using the same tactics on the Franke children…Since the prosecutor accepted a plea deal for Jodi, I doubt they are going to follow through with this case. I think the prosecutor office was shut down from someone higher up on the food chain…

@janshe3597 don't see how ruby get consecutive sentence unless they charge her for the stuff before the kids in Jodi house, otherwise it's from the same incident. Even so hers is 3rd degree felong child abuse which is 1 to 5, she plea it out means she probably won't even get 2 per charge, Ruby is most likely out in 5 or 6 years if her charges stacks. If not you are looking at 2, 3 Max.
