God this career mode is the most enjoyable to watch, that Monaco pole was epic inches from the wall so many times to squeeze every millisecond out of the lap. Good job.
I'm actually heartbroken. How the hell is he robbed of an easy win like THAT?! I've never felt like this, and it is as Tom said, It's only a game but I'm so triggered. Still, great vid and return of cockpit view in the principality!
Absolutely gutted for you there tom such an incredible race another great strategy all to be taken away in a heart beat due to a mechanical failure hopefully come back with a positive in the next race keep up the content absolutely loving the series
As a cockpit driver myself, I appreciated very much this astounding performance in Monaco. I took some notes about the driving though. Cockpit cam is tougher than with T-Cam but so much more fun...! We need more races in cockpit during your career mode.
Just a heads up to anyone watching, for cockpit view you can turn on the HUD you normally see in T-Cam and other non-cockpit views with a setting in the options menu. I believe it's in the OSD settings where you toggle on the virtual rearview mirror camera. That way you can see recommended gear, RPM indicator, and all the rest of the info it has.
Loving the series so far Tom and appreciate you taking such a realistic approach whilst keeping it entertaining. Good work once again in bringing us a cherry on top to end the day in form of a career mode vid. All the best mate keep up the good work
This was truly one of the very first times i actually felt sad about someone retiring in a career mode. This was SO unexpected. My god this is so much more fun to watch then the stupid My Team careers..
Cockpit view was a nice change, I'm thinking of starting my channel with a driver career like yours, no idea what team to do tho and my setup is crap aswell. Great vid as always
That was a VERY enjoyable video to watch, thanks. That race ending though... And yeah, Rear View Mirror, while takes times getting used to and maybe makes cars look closer than they are (as you said) is very useful - at least it makes you able to give 100% focus to what's happening ahead, with glimpses of what's happening behind.
Good stuff - your expression said it all! theres a realism to what happened there and that makes it enjoyable - even when the brown stuff hits the fan, anything can happen
I think we all felt that dude… I must say, once again, absolutely fantastic content, Tom is undeniably one of the best out there for sim racing content
loving the series on f1 23 as much as i did with last years game but it is great to finally get wins and points, i’ll be watching for as long as you upload and i love things how they are, don’t make things any harder for yourself please, it felt futile making 0 progress over 2 seasons in f1 22 and bored me, until now! Loved the cockpit cam! also is it just me or the graphics for the driver helmet didn't load? at 20:00 ish when Sainz was on your gearbox, it was an empty cockpit in that Ferrari lmao
Unlucky Tom. Bought the game at the weekend and decided to use only cockpit mode. That, combined with the new driving model (I use controller), has really got me enjoying this game more than previous versions. Hoping to be marginally less crap than I usually am at Monaco
I was watching your video, my gf walks by and says: Is that a common thing with racers that they race with their mouth open? He's the same as you, looking like a carp out of the water when concentrating while racing. 😂😂Great video, I have started to play with just the cockpit cam but with Halo, yea much easier than in 21/22. The cockpit view feels more like it was in '20.

The marketing department event shows a wrong cash balance. It shows the player’s but the cost for the merch is not paid by the player, but by the team. If there wasn’t enough money for the merch then the game wouldn’t let you buy it because you can’t go negative on cash balance
The cockpit sound kinda change when you go to cockpit view you can still hear the engine but it make me feel like i am wearing a helmet while driving unlike last game
Of course the engine failure has to happen in these circumstances. Can't happen in one of those bogus ones where things aren't going right, has to happen now. Man that sucks. Also what the hell is that podium?
For me Monaco is a boring circuit to watch as overtaking is very hard and what matters is the pit stops and that's it. So really love the format to make it in a cockpit view to show the on edge for every lap, hope this continue and may apply to others circuit too. Shame for the DNF which ruined everything.
