Anyone know how much time it dangles, i.e.- when it is safe to release from a terrarium-type enclosure? In past years I was always heartbroken with the 100% predation rate, so this year I kept some caterpillars in a clean, empty glass fish tank, as a terrarium with only fresh milkweed leaves every day (inspected for any other creatures/stowaways) and a tree twig for it to crawl on to reach the screen "ceiling". 100% success this year! When can the screen be moved without injuring the butterfly, when is the filling in its wings done and safe & ready to fly?
