Dad - a master high-precision tool and die maker, still loving his work at age 83. Sadly, no longer with us, except in our hearts.

Both machine and operator look great for their age. Believe that Monarch keeps dad young. I really enjoyed watching a master at work.

Enjoy your dad while you can. I'm a grumpy old man, enjoy my machine shop and time with my boys. Keeps you young!

Real old time machinist , I apprenticed with great men of long service in machine shops. German British Scotsman some all business others with a fun side. Long ago now for me but the best time of my life.

Hey Mary - there is a massive machining community on U-Tube - your dad appears to be a master machinist - any more videos of the man and his amazing monarch lathe (they are a bit rare) would get a bit of a following happening - regards.

E.G. the Oxtool guy is one of about 5-10 master machinists that have massive followings - check it out.
