Monday 8pm Hurricane Milton update: Milton a very powerful cat 5 hurricane with winds 180mph. It is reaching its peak tonight and will start to weaken tomorrow as it will have an eyewall replacement cycle and start to encounter some shear and dry air. It is very compact now with only a 10nm wide pine prick eye and hurricane winds out 20-25nm. As it weakens it will expand in area, becoming a much larger storm by landfall. It will still be a powerful major hurricane and will have a big storm surge on the west coast. On the east coast we will see tropical storm conditions and the risk for tornadoes. Flood watch also in effect, the ground is already super saturated so any additional rains can cause flooding.
