I would like to start cash stuffing this year! How do you break your change into the specific bills that you need to stuff each envelope? Seems like all stores are stingy with their bills nowadays…

Hi! I’m not sure if this is what you mean but I basically start with my budget spreadsheet to determine how much I need for cash stuffing my different categories. Then I have a big sheet I print where I write down the total value and how many of each bill I need. I then take a simpler version of that to the bank for my withdrawal. When I’m out shopping, if there’s an issue with breaking a bill (for example, sometimes early in the morning, stores may not have enough change to break a $50) I usually just pull from another category and make a note so I can swap it around later. Does that make sense?
