Its called HOMECOURT ADVANTAGE... As soon as the higher seeded team loses one HOME game it immeadiately becomes neutral because BOTH teams now have a maximum possibilty of playing THREE homes games. If a 07 game series is tied 1-1, the lower seeded team still has ALL THREE of their home games, while the higher seeded team has now used TWO of their FOUR total home games.

Bill - have you ever seen the Bruins Captain Brad Marchand do a slew foot on other players? What do you have to say about that? If they didn't have instigator penalties he would never have done those things. What I don't get is how Cam hated Ulf Samulsson because he wouldn't fight after doing cheap shots but he lets Marchand 1. stay on the team and 2. be the captain. Didn't Marchand punch a guy in the back of the head when the guy was on his knees? He would never have done stuff like that with Bob Probert or Dave Semenko on the ice, to say nothing of the 70s players. I was a die hard Bruins fan for decades but I won't cheer for someone like that. Besides, hockey is boring compared to NBA.

Great appearance on that Bill Maher program. Maher might consider himself a tiger, but he let a raptor into his cage. Just having an opinion doesn't justify one's position; we don't have to understand something to have an opinion of it. And Maher seems to have a great deal of pride in his shallow, blow hard opinions. He's got an audience, though! Like Larry the Cable Guy, Bill Maher has an audience. Can't deny that. I wish he stuck with comedy, maybe abolish politics from his act entirely. A competent comic should be able to find humor in more than one subject, I'd think.

It’s very simple stealing the home field advantage means if the road team wins game 1 or 2 then all they have to do is win their own home games and they win the series. It has nothing to do with having better fans. If you have home field advantage in a series all you have to do is win at home and you win the series
