Thanks Dr. Mohler, especially your personal experience with Haitian's. Ohio is really just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to how widespread Haitians have spread across the Nation. Here in Alabama alone, many Haitians are working in the Chicken Processing Industry. The State Troopers daily see the unsafe issues they have caused on our highways. Now, the question is, why are illegals, or those with permits, working supposedly American jobs? That is the core problem, and that problem has not been fixed.
JD Vance is a senator in Ohio and he gives credibility to his constituents when they tell him that the Haitians are killing their pets. NO ONE can definitively say it is not true.

One could ask in regard to countries that its citizens flee - perhaps the host countries for these migrants should cancel foreign aid to those countries and either start tallying a bill, or simply invade a portion or all of these countries to "liberate" them from their oppressive leaders.
The federal government is not the only civil government entity at fault. Ohio is also at fault for allowing the federal government to place large influxes of foreign nationals in their state. And, it's not only who and how many but HOW these foreign nationals arrived. In South Florida, yes, they needed diapers, and food, and assistance to go back home if they did not arrive here legally. And...we can say "no" to those foreign nationals bringing cultures that are so far from ours like Haitians. So, you are exactly right... language matters and culture matters. What effort has been put forward to educate these people on our foundation and founding culture and language...either by the civil government or especially private volunteer organizations like SBC? Answer: none. Rather, a church will establish a "Korean church ministry," a "Haitian church ministry," etc etc. Oh...and let's send them to public school. Wrong approach and one not influenced by God's Word. How many pastors are teaching their congregations what a Biblically informed immigration policy looks like?

States have no ability to control who moves where, the federal government controls immigration policy and once they say somebody is legal to be here they are allowed to move wherever they want to. In this case, the Haitians moved to Springfield because they heard there were jobs there. That's what has always happened with immigrants in the past, there's nothing new or unusual about it. 2. There is no such thing as "Biblically informed immigration policy", other than open borders. But regardless of that, where in the New Testament does Jesus or anybody else say anything indicating Christians should have any concern or involvement with the immigration policies, or any other law, coming from a government? Whatever happened to being citizens of a higher kingdom, not being involved with the affairs of this world? What would Jesus do in this situation? The entire "Christian" world in the U.S. has been corrupted by politics and political activity to the point that everybody thinks it's normal and there's nothing wrong with it. We need to go back to our Bibles and see just how far we have strayed from the Truth and repent for all this carnal thinking.
I live in your old neighborhood outside Atlanta. I started a Bible Study group in ESL program early summer with one to 4 students per week. Now in the last 3 weeks I’ve had an influx of Haitians who speak no English. I know God called me to this, but I’m not sure how visible this ministry should be in our church, which takes pride in welcoming all races, but immigration is such a controversial issue among some of the older generation. If it continues to grow at this rate, it’s going to tax the other ministries of the church like childcare, teen programs, charity. I’m struggling how to share correct theology when they can’t ask where is the restroom. However, learning English is the first step toward assimilation but feeling a little overwhelmed.

You can't really blame "liberal media" for the Haitian Migrants scandal. Do you think it's presidential to just say things that are not verified particularly when it has racial undertones. If anybody supports this I seriously question such a person's Christianity.

Fair comments regarding the numbers of immigrants placed in Springfield. That said, even though you acknowledged that the claims of Haitians killing and eating pets are false, and that Trump and Vance were advancing such claims, why no harsh admonition of that? Yes there will be a cultural conflict with people like the Haitians be resettled in the U.S. But, the notion that driving without insurance is something unique to the Haitians is ridiculous. This is an issue that involves all communities because of the cost of insurance. Conservative Christians are so gullible and seem to have no ability to parse the truth, even though they claim to follow the truth of Jesus Christ.

Facts, sadly, are not prejudice. We can weep and pray for Haiti, but check it's history. The culture is not one that produces human thriving. Quite the opposite. Are Haitians image bearers of God? Absolutely. Should we be doing all we can to reach them while they are here as refugees with the Gospel? Absolutely. But it isn't racist to point out a culture that leads to death. Our culture is now treading toward death and not flourishing. Is it prejudiced to say that too?
