This show is so clickbaity. They always make the rich kid sound like an absolute piece of ****. Jordan was actually a really nice lad and was really polite and kind the whole time he was with the family. Not sure it's fair on the rich kid at all as Channel 5 always make them out to be pompous little so and so's and 95% of them arent. Unless you're Adil, don't be Adil.

So hang on, if her son is working part time and her daughter is at school, then why doesn’t she get a job herself?

They can’t judge him when she doesn’t work either and she has grown kids that don’t need their mommy to supervise them every second of the day.

Why she a stay at home mum when both of the children are old enough to look after themselves .. just plain out laziness

im not being rude but the kids are old enough to be unsupervised and can look after themselves, why doesn't the mum get a part time job to earn the extra income and lessen the stress of her husband? also why is the mum sorting out the husbands finances? shouldn't he have a say in what it should be budgeted for as he is the sole income provider

Having a go at him for not earning his own money yet the wife won’t work because she’s ‘looking after her kids’ even though they’re at school and don’t need looking after at all. She lives off her husband’s income (and benefits) when she’s just too lazy to work herself. If her 15 year old son can get a job maybe she can as well. Can’t blame him because his father likely built his wealth through years of hard work. Maybe if they did the same, and didn’t have kids when they clearly can’t afford it yet, they wouldn’t be in the position they are.

This isn’t a skint family. It’s a half lazy one. No excuse for the wife to not be working “ managing money”. Both kids are at school and can be left alone at home. The mum needs to get a job

That woman should be working at least part time! Those kids are too old to use as an excuse for her to be at home full time. She’s setting a poor example for her kids in that respect and equally in her ridiculous ‘budget’ for healthier food. Urgh.

I really warmed to Jordan. He had watched, listened, learned. As well as asking Jordan what he had learned though, I wish that they would ask the family what they have learned too. Always an interesting show. x

I can tell you coming from an Asian family and seeing this way of life the dad is probably paying him to not come home and funding his London lifestyle to keep him away 😂 by him wanting to be a rockstar 😂

I noticed there was a packet of cigarettes in one of the skint families pictures. The average British male smokes 10 a day, there are 10 in roughly every packet. Each packet costs roughly £10. That’s a packet a day. In a month of 31 days that’s £310 spent on cigs alone. If you quit smoking you are saving at least £3,650 a year

If you can’t afford kids don’t have them I like the poor family there kind and genuine but the mum could work the kids can be home alone for a bit go and wok like the rest of us xx

I don’t see rich kids necessarily happier. The satisfaction for things diminish if you always get the most exquisite things so easily. Part of the joy is how you experience it and value it when you don’t have it so easily.

My family wasn’t destitute, but we were far from wealthy. It’s far from a story of going hungry and sleeping in the cold, but I was definitely the “poorest” of my friends. I shared a room, they all got their own. They got the new consoles at Christmas, had their driving lessons paid for, cars bought for them, mortgage deposits from mummy and daddy etc. I can’t claim deprivation. Always had food in my belly, warm bed to sleep in, loads of love, support and encouragement (the absolute cornerstone of raising a kid - case in point - Donald Trump. Born into immense wealth, but his daddy didn’t love him. It’s twisted any vestige of humanity or decency out of him, but I digress!). I’m now in my early 30s. Landed a good job, drive a nice car, out-earning my rich-parent friends by a good margin and feel I’m wholly better equipped to handle the world. I guess what I’m trying to say is - having your life handed to you on a plate is like playing a game on the easiest setting. Sure, you’ll slay it, but it’s a hollow victory.
