How would they know the baseball card isn’t a synthesized replica. Is there a way to tell if something in the Star Trek universe is made by a synthesizer/replicator. Like is there a sort of “made in China” type identifier in its structure to tell you of this was made by hand/tools of production and not a synthesized copy?
I’m new to Star Trek so someone please elaborate. Star fleet and the human race don’t use money/currency anymore since developing technology that provides for most and all basic needs for survival and instead humans value personal betterment and growth so they can better the world and humankind. So if they don’t have, use or get paid money; how do they deal with other civilizations that do use money and capitalism. Like how would star fleet personnel and humans buy drinks at Quarks bar, or products and goods from other civilizations that still use currency when they constantly remind the audience our people don’t have or use money?????
They still can have jobs that pay in other currencies, but Earth has no set currency because money is not required to survive. There are also jobs on the stations that people pay money for you to do. It's kinda a lie that money doesn't exist in star trek, they kinda are just superior by not having their own lol
Just because they do not use currency it does not mean they cannot track exchange of value. Currency is just the language of value bookkeeping its purpose? If both the Ferengi and the federation have books there should be no problem.
