Mike Sweeney meets MonaLisa Twins. A few weeks back we had the pleasure to share the stage with the incredible Mike Sweeney, legendary radio presenter on BBC Radio Manchester and all time rock’n’roller who has performed with the legendary Swinging Blue Jeans, the Mindbenders and many others.
With only a quick run-through at soundcheck we decided to perform that song together at The Met in Manchester, back in July 2014 where Mike Sweeney & Paddy O'Hare played a terrific set after us!

Good old Mike. 75 years old and still bopping on GMR. Had a hit , IN 1982, which reached 75 in the charts ' who you looking at ' , at the age of 35 years .

I just recently discovered these twins on youtube and I think they're awesome! I love how the redhead rocks out with that Gretsch! They're on Spotify too.

The lead singing into one mic and the Twins singing backup in the other is reminiscent of John Lennon singing in one mic and Paul and George sharing another. Nice update of that arrangement.

They choose to take the soft road to making money, they sell their talents/songs on the net so you will not hear them on radio or Tv. stations. that's why they will never be like the Beatles or Rolling Stones. They choose not to be that. I certainly agree that they could easily become that if they wanted, but their lack of 'lust for gold ' is very refreshing.

Barrett Strong - Money "Money (That's What I Want)" is a rhythm and blues song written by Tamla founder Berry Gordy and Janie Bradford, which was the first hit record for Gordy's Motown enterprise. Barrett Strong recorded it in 1959 as a single for the Tamla label, distributed nationally on Anna Records.
