An example would have been nice. For instance, a person in Germany is earning 80,000 EUR salary annually, and as per the rule I read somewhere, only the amount exceeding 7% can be claimed, that means 7% of 80k Euro results to 5600 Euros! So if you are sending money to your parents up to this amount, you cannot deduct from your taxes. So let's say you're sending 500 EUR each month to your parents, that's 6000 EUR annually, which means the amount you can deduct from your taxes is 400 EUR. That also means to claim the minimum eligible amount 2352 EUR in this case, you have to transfer like 5600+2352 = 7952 EUR annually if your salary is 80,000 EUR in Germany (approx 665 EUR each month)

Thank you for the comment and suggestion, in the recent videos, we have implemented showing some examples, but the above mentioned numbers are not applicable for supporting parents. It’s a clear case, only the fixed amount as shown in video is applicable. Whatever percentage you mentioned is applicable for other stuffs

In that case should the money be transferred to an account in your child's name or can it be transferred to your parents account as they are the guardians presently Also how much money can we claim for the child and do we need any other proof?

Hello, 1. Where should we declare the amount we sent to our parents in the form "Hauptvordruck ESt 1 A"? Which line number? I tried to find it and found Line 34, 64 and 94. But there is no line number 64 and 94. 2. How to send the "Unterhaltserklärung" form? Should we send it along with "Hauptvordruck ESt 1 A"? 3. In the form "Unterhaltserklärung" you mentioned Notray, will any Notray do or is there a specific notary in India that we need to get from? Also, does the income tax form need to be translated to German? Thank you.

Hi Sharatkumar, You can get the document signed by any gesetted officer in india and this is more than sufficient.Regarding other queries, I could not answer, since i have did the process through the Tax consultant and he took care of the things to be done. you can also book an appointment with the tax consultant over the phone and get the things clarified www.vanakkamgermany.de/appointment

Also, I have another question about Unterhalt vs. Umzugkosten paushale. Can one claim both pauschale umzugkosten (about 1500) and also double household costs (two apartments) etc. Thanks! And Vanakkam from the North :) Your channel is amaaazing!!!

In my opinion, It’s a pure luck factor and the case depends upon each person who is handling. You can still try with 65 years, but the officer would request you too man documents and there is a high possibility for rejecting. Fingers crossed, I would be happy to get connected with the person who has got it done ✅

Hi , I had tax class 6 (high tax deducted) for my first month of work because I didn't have a tax ID, but now they changed it to class 1. And I want to fill this out so I can deduct the amount they have cut? where should I put that in ELSTER? thanks
@VanakkamGermany
@VanakkamGermany 4 года назад
You have to enter your incomes in the software whichever you use. You can feed in the datas mentioned in the Lohnsteuerbescheinigung. I use WISO, not sure how it works in ELSTER, it should not be difficult. Finanzamt automatically calculates the Tax when you submit for tax declaration.
@jackleporteur1432
@jackleporteur1432 4 года назад
@@VanakkamGermany ok thanks yes I specified that I'm Tax class 6 but didn't find where I can specify that I should be class 1 or maybe they would know by themselves ? Also what I can put there other than commute distance , something from Lohnsteuerbescheinigung can be deduced (health insurance ) ?
@VanakkamGermany
@VanakkamGermany 4 года назад
They will find it by themselves, also regarding health insurance stuffs (when you enter the basic stuffs, it automatically enters the data into corresponding fields) this is the biggest difficulty with ELSTER, one finds it difficult to enter data. I have made a video, how to choose online software for tax declaration. Kindly have a look into it.
