I fucking LOOOOOVE the sheer white shorts clinging to those phat thick cheeks! the dark tight panty briefs glued to his cheeks and viewable for all to gawk at is truly the cherry on top of this booty cake!!!
Junjian Huang: he needs a quick, short compact strokes, esp on fast hard courts. on clay is ok because clay is slow and have more time to hit his shot, but on grass were tne ball stays low and fast hard courts like the us open, he needs to have a quick, short compact stroke.
I think one technical reason why monfils hasnt done as well as people hoped is because he lets the ball drop on his forehand side too many times. Instead of taking it relatively early, he waits. It's weird because he doesnt do that on the backhand side.
Possibly, but Thiem has a big backswing, and makes good use of drive forehands. Nadal's is very elaborate and has done well to flatten his forehand out when he has the upper hand, although Nadal has amazing timing. Raonic is only 1-2 inches taller than monfils, has a huge backswing and rarely waits for the ball to bounce and come back up again. So i think that it's mental than anything else. There are load of players with big swing, that take the ball on.
I've always thought that Monfils' forehand takeback looks quite similar to that of Murray's, who also has a tendency to loop the forehand a bit too much. But I've seen Monfils play really aggressively with his forehand, so I guess it's just a matter of what style he's most comfortable with and what kind of tennis he most enjoys playing. You make a very good point - lots have players with very big backswings hit the ball flat and early consistently, so I agree it is most likely mental rather than technical. :D
mental but intentional. I think he is more comfortable just pushing the ball and trying to impress the crowd by getting to certain balls from his opponent. Frustrating because he has the ability to flatten the ball...
Wow Thanks for these videos Really shows the speeds and angles . Its really astonishing they cant find a way to show more pro matches with a similar viewing angle. Really much more enjoyable to watch
Niels There is a dedicated thread for Thiem's racquet development over at the tennis warehouse forum. Stringers report it is the old 18x20 Pure strike, leaded up with a custom molded handle. (to mimick his old Head racquet)
