Having cooled off the car we got back on the rough roads and kept climbing into the Pamir mountains. An altitude sickness and food poisoning combo put Ollie out of action for the evening having driven the last leg into our rest stop for the night. But the next day we were all back on our feet and stumbling into even more problems.
The roof rack was really starting to look weak again and the sump guard just would not stay attached... but to be fair to them both we hadn't exactly given them the easiest ride this far!
Up to the highest point on our journey into the snow and back down the other side we could smell the end of our Pamir Highway journey. It had been one of the most beautiful but hard going parts of the journey so far and an amazing thing to have completed in our little Polo!
