As we crossed the boarder into Tajikistan we drove up through mountains and into the night, losing our camp guard half way up. We made it to Dushanbe too late at night/early in the morning so we camped up on the hill overlooking the city. After the trials of the night before we spent some good time meeting up with someone from our home city in the British Embassy and even had the help of their head of security to help us find a good garage and get us fixed up and ready to move off again. One more night in the city and a few beers with our connection to home and we were of our way again with the long drive to the start of the Pamir Highway.
