Overcoming a fear of horses I travelled to Mongolia to purchase some horses and teach myself how to ride solo through the mountains. With little communication other than hand gestures and a sketch book made my travels very interesting. With the kindness of the Kazakh and Mongolian I got taught falconry from the eagle hunters and horse mastery.

Check it out on the blog. Half the adventure is doing it unknown rather than planning it which is half the fun. I did this by purely rocking up and learning it all first hand where to do this or that without them speaking english. Throw yourself in the deep end and you'll get tested :)

Incredible video! Seems like an adventure of a lifetime... You probaly won't read this, but if you do I was wondering what time of the year were you there? Im also planning a mongoloa trip, I've read the best time to go is july or august, but I want to go overland from siberia which i'd prefer to see in the winter, not summer.... So was thinking of going around march/april, could that work? And many thanks for an amazing video!
