Cuando Mónica aparece desnuda en lo que parece agua negra lo que representa en realidad es leche negra con migas de pan que es lo que muchas veces tenían para comer la bisabuela y sus hijos ya que pasarón hambre ...! She's versatile, she's very disciplined and has been able to keep her voice and technique over her 25 years' career and she does what she feels she has to do, she funds her own work with outstanding results =) This video is from 2019, from her last studio album, and this woman never ceases to amaze me! The live performance of this song from her last tour 'Rennaisance' is sick!! She's really popular in México and, to some extent, in Italy as well. In 2002, she recorded an album in English to be released internationally, but she was eventually kind of boycotted by her record company. By the way, I'm in love with your accent

Mónica Naranjo is a highly talented singer and composer with a 30 year career who always been visionary, ahead of her time. She uses a lot of metaphors, symbolism and doble meaning in her lyrics. Basic summary of the video is the story of her great grandmother whose husband was killed during the Spanish Civil War while she was pregnant with her child. The story is more complex, but just to give you an idea about what the song is about.
