“Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’” (Matthew 25:37-40)
“We’ve got more to look forward to than the road now . We’ve got eternity “. My parents introduced me to this show when I was 10 . I was born with epilepsy and once a week I’d have seizures . When I would watch this show it would remind me that God is always watching over me . In 2011 at the age of 19 , I had my final seizure . Now I’m 28 and it’s been nine years since a seizure . I still watch this show from time to time , whenever I have a hard day .
“Now I’m 28 and it’s been nine years since a seizure” Wow, it’s a miracle! He is יְהוָ֖ה רֹפְאֶֽךָ (Yahweh-ropheka), the “Lord your healer” as it says in Exodus 15:26. The same God-Man who healed that boy from seizures in Luke 9:37-43 is the same God-Man who continues to heal people from seizures today! Glory to the King!
My mom would sit me down Sundays and watch this show with me. It grew on me so hard. I lost her at 16 to breast cancer. She's there in eternity now. Waiting for me to come off the road. But we got plenty of road left cousin 💙 keep up the good work
My Mom introduced me to this show 💕 we watched nearly every episode.(twice maybe more) She's gone to Heaven 12 years ago now. She was the best Mom ever 😇 RIP Momma 🌷💗
This show was blessed by God and has taught me more than any other program or school. It has helped me desire spiritual gifts and to love truth. Roma Downey is such a role model to me. This show will always be my favorite.
What gets me every time is when Jesus said at 1:51, “Well done, good and faithful servant,” just like He said in Matthew 25:23. It is my dream to hear those words from Him while being in His presence and glory.
When Monica and Tess were crying while saying their good byes, I don't think they were acting. They were friends in real life. Miss Della, an ordained minister performed the wedding ceremony that married Roma and her new husband. Roma even described Miss Della as her Mommy, having lost her real mom when she was just a little girl. RIP Miss Della RIP John Dye
@@cheneethompson5756 It sure is, and I've heard Roma tell the story of how she met Della. She talks about how she went to shake Della's hand, but Della told her "Baby, I don't shake hands, I give hugs.", then pulled her into a warm embrace. Roma said that whenever she needed to talk about something that troubled her, she'd call Della at any time of day or night as a daughter would do with her mom, and they spoke every day, even when not on the set together. If I recall correctly from another interview, Roma's daughter Riley is Della's goddaughter and Riley called Della her grandma. When Della's daughter died, Roma said she was in her dressing room wearing her white dress/angel costume and was barefoot. Someone knocked on the door and said "Roma, Della needs you.", and she said she ran to Della's dressing room and found her crying, but didn't know what was wrong, but knew it had to be something horrible. Della was able to say that "She's gone....she's gone...", that her daughter had died . Roma knew that she had to get Della back home to California from Utah where they were filming, so she could be with her husband. Roma said as they drove by one of the crew members, she yelled for them to bring her shoes and purse to the airport. Dressed as an angel, she got Della to the airport and made the arrangements for their flight. To me, that's absolute love, and what a loving daughter would do for her mother. I love hearing about their relationship and I'm so glad they were blessed to have each other. Della told Roma that God put them together because she needed a mother and she'd be needing a daughter. Wow.
One of those shows that can never be outdone. It can never be replaced and I love the message it sends of God’s love and mercy. Even if one is not Christian it still has a message to be kind and caring and forgiving and merciful and making the right choices in life. Shows today are just not the same, nothing original and no family shows like this or Little House on the Prairie or even Joan of Arcadia.
Absolutely agree with you. You're right that even if you're not Christian, anyone can watch the shows. The shows were about love. They could never remake this show.
the best ending to my favorite show of all times. I felt the anointing of the Holy Spirit in each show. I miss it but still watch reruns. God bless everyone who loves the Lord
Ironically, “;I sure do love you, mom”. We’re the last words spoken to me from my beautiful son, Brad Elliott Kendall, who now and forever will reside in the presence of The Most High. The Great, “I am”. Thank you Lord for my son , whom You entrusted to me for the time You did. I am forever grateful. 🙇🏻♀️🙏🏻🙌
The most stunningly brilliant show to ever grace TV screens. Beautiful, full of faith, fearless in describing faith. It was a gift to us all, and ever will be. (I hope it finally comes out in Hi Def on Blu Ray format.)
In the gospel god the Holy Spirit is frequently represented by a dove. So yes in every episode the presence of the dove is the presence of the second person of the Trinity, one of the three persons of God.
Blessings, love and Gods grace with you all. I Pray the blood of jesus on your life today. GOD please guide and look after those that are reading this. MAY YOUR LIGHT SHINE,Amen
It is a great tv series, when I was young, this series gave me so much hope and the comfort over that we are not alone even in difficult times! I have the whole series on dvd now,and still it gives me hope and faith! Thank you for giving me hope in this series! I really do love the show!😘😘😘
Watching this one clip from this show reminds me how much this show brings me to tears, it just tugs on your heartstrings everytime with every episode.
I'm Christian but not sure how much I believe in Heaven/Hell, God and devil and all that.. but this show does make you realise the small things in life.. being grateful for what we have, the people around us. And that it's OK to cry sometimes if you need too :). Haven't seen all episodes, maybe never will but i'll always remember it!
You can't BE A CHRISTIAN unless you believe in God (Jesus) , Satan, heaven and hell. I don't know what you are but a Christian you are not if you don't even believe the basics. That being said, I encourage you to seek out Jesus he is the author and finisher of our faith! Without him there is NO CHRISTIANITY!
What gave me the most chills was when Jesus said at 1:51, “Well done, good and faithful servant,” just like He said in Matthew 25:23. It is the dream of every Christian to hear those words from Him while being in His presence and glory.
I still think he should have been dressed in a long, glowing white gown as he was supposed to represent God. Oh John and Della, you are SO missed by everyone who knew you.
I love this show, it's so up lifting and a eye up for what God have for us in this life. He let us know that Angels Walk with us every day of our life. It teaches us to trust in God for He knows what best for us then we know what best for our self.He will never leave nor forsaken us. I pray this show is always on and never taken off. It helps a lot of us who don't know God and let them no God love us so much.
Watching John Dye walk away is so beautifully painful now. I hope one of his "colleagues" was there in the end. To show him the well travelled way home.
When Monica said goodbye to her friends, it reminded me of Frodo saying goodbye to Merry, Pippin and Sam at the end of "The Lord of the Rings." And just like Sam, saying goodbye to Tess would be the most emotional, since they had been together from the beginning.
I hope and pray that they will do another touched by a angel with Monica as supervisor! Training Gloria perhaps! That would be the perfect scene or scenes! That would be cool to watch! VK. 😇.
It's sucks that we never got to see Monica become a supervisor for new angles maybe Roma Downey and her husband mark Burnett can make a new touch by an angel we need a new way to reach this world and country for the Lord to help people my age and help these new kids and teenager
I love that idea. The world is such a mess right now, that it's obvious that Satan is working overtime. We definitely need another show like this on television. Of course, it won't be the same without Della Reese and John Dye.
My momma is in heaven also and I miss her every day yes I was no perfect child and made mistakes as a child but also as an adult but I still love my momma very very much and look forward to seeing her again once I pass
I SO loved this show, and still do. This is my absolute favorite episode of the entire series...because Jesus was finally a part of it. Not by name, of course...but we know who "Zack" really is. And that was the one unfortunate thing about the show...they could not openly talk about Jesus or share the Gospel...
Even if the show doesn’t mention Jesus, it still honors him because it incorporates several of his teachings such as helping the poor and destitute, (There by the Grace of God) keeping a guard upon your heart and mind, (Pandora’s Box and Virtual Reality) the sanctity of an oath (The Man Upstairs) and staying close to God so you aren’t lead astray by charlatans. (Into the Fire) C S Lewis said it best “We don’t need more ‘Christian’ writers; we need more writers who ARE Christian.”
I didn't watch TBaA too often because the endings were so similar. Monica appears before her *assigned case* in her true form and gives the line about being an angel sent by God, But this time, it was her turn to realize her *case* revealed to be Jesus sent by God to test her. This is the most touching of them.
I don't think those tears were acting. Dela was really crying. They had been together acting for a lot of years. John Dye walked off this planet and into heaven and when he vanishes I think of him going to be with the lord in 2011. Great last episode..
Also they were close to John Dye, when John died in 2011 Della said he was her angelboy, it's even on his head stone on his grave. Roma was close to both of them. I think they kept in touch. It's sad that john died so young, he was only 7 years older than me. Della was sad also she'd been a minister for years over a church. Good show, great people.
I do understand that you said that Touched By An Angel was a brilliant super program, because it is decent family programming, which is true, however no it is not a brilliant program. Now I will tell you that I don't like John Mathius, and Martha Williamson, because yes it is true that Touched By An Angel has morals, however it has no substance. There are no two ways about it I will tell you that Road To Avonlea is a brilliant program, because it is higher quality. Now I will tell you that I do enjoy Kevin Sullivan, and Trudy Grant from Canada, because yes it is true that Road To Avonlea has morals, however yes it has full substance. I will tell you that yes what I mentioned is true, that there enrichment what I have mentioned.
Hi George, I think Touched was all about faith in God, and describing that, it was without equal - the most stunningly brilliant television program ever. It was smart, unpretentious, fearless in its speaking of God and humanity's potential to have faith in Him and thus be blessed by Him. God bless you, brother,
To think that when Monica (Roma Downey) hugged Jonathan (John Dye) and Tess (Della Reese) she was actually, and really, saying her last goodbyes before they left this world. It is so sobering to think that we are called out of this life with absolutely no warning, for the most part. I think the most important thing we can do with our life now is to prepare ourselves for the life to come. I believe Jesus' substitutionary death (for me) is the key to a new life. I am so grateful for the love of God and the grace found in Jesus Christ!
