I hunt, have worked at zoos and have owned all kinds of venomous and non venomous animals. 2 things scare me: tapeworms(internal parasites). I saw a video last week of 3 people getting giant worms removed from their eyes. The only animal on earth that "scares" me is the giant Shoebill that bird and its noise it makes is spine shivering for me😂
Oh yeah, parasites are no joke and cause millions of deaths all around the world. This is very much unlike shoebills that are actually very friendly to humans, although their childrearing and hunting/feeding practices are definitely a cause for pause.
@sdqsdq6274 it's a gorgeous animal. When I was a kid I watched one swallow a small dog and had nightmares for weeks lol. I have owned and been bitten by everything from pygmy opossums, skunks, dwarf caimans to giant centipedes no issues but that bird is just different
@sassafrass241 I worked at an animal rehab. I have been around all three of the big birds. The meanest animal was actually a camel he bit me and broke my wrist. But nope, the shoebill just has thay death stare and can stand still for hours
That poor crested gecko so vicious 😂 im glad all mine are just as vicious as that one.😅 i love when you do tour at Mike's his enclosures are just so beautiful and amazing for his reptiles.
When I was breeding veiled chameleons as a teenager, I was turned on to Miner-All for them and I haven't stopped using it since. You can use it for carnivores, insectivores, omnivores, herbivores...you get the point. The stuff is wonderful. It doesn't just contain calcium and D3, but a ton of trace elements and minerals as well. Here I am over 20 years later and still haven't found the need to use anything else for supplementation. Always love seeing the videos with Mike!
I'm not super scared of spiders, but the time I had one in my bed has continued to haunt me to this day and has kept me from sleeping in my bed without thoroughly checking it for spiders, or any other creepy crawlies, to this day months later. It was a very sizable isopod-eating spider for anyone interested.
@@peggedyourdad9560 any size is not ok with me but the tiny ones doesn't really scare as much as the medium, large and extra large ones and I am so sorry that happened to you and I would be doing the exact same thing
Love monitors. Wish I had room for them. Too many large reptiles (mostly various types of iguanas) in my house right now though, so if I ever get them it won't be for a long time.
Funny that I think what's Dav up to and a new video pops up in my feed. Love your sexy look and sexy voice, the critters are entertaining as well. Stay safe.
I work with every manor of spider and tarantula, hot and not, deadly scorpions, centipedes, roaches, assassin bugs, snakes, lizards, frogs, etc. All the stuff that people are normally afraid of, I have zero issues with. Once an animal dies, for someone unexplainable reason, I’m terrified of their dead bodies 🤦🏻♀️😂 No clue why I have this fear, but I’ve never been able to get over it. If any critter dies, my other half has to take care of the body every time. 🤷🏻♀️
I don't even like monitors but Mike have amazing monitors! I was so mesmerized with his collection the last video. Can't wait to see the new additions!
Hi Dav Thanks for your trip to Mike's Monitors. His enclosures are fantastic. His Emersld tree boas are pretty. I have never seen that species of monitor. Nice that they stay small. His socialization enclosures are such a good idea. Ferocious crested gecko😅. Love all of your adventures.❤🦎🐍Cindy
Yes! I always enjoy your mikes monitors tours. Mike does amazing work from enclosure builds to the producing and caring for his animals. His Socializing Caging System has worked amazing with my Cumingi. It really sped up the trust process. Thanx for sharing 3.0 Dāv! 🤘💯🦎🐸🐍🐢🌱
I have a fear of Praying mantis's BUT I am determined to one day overcome that fear. I used to fear snakes now I have one : ) and plan on having many more I want a ball python from you a super dwarf retic from reach out reptiles and a bull snake from snake discovery lol. I used to be scared of Heights so I went sky diving lol, now I just got to get over my fear or mantis's
I've watched this video three times already. I love seeing these monitors in such incredible environments. I firmly believe Mike is the best Monitor keeper in the world.
This episode gave me a great laugh! Love you guys! 3 stooges are legends . Me and my dad used to watch them and die laughing. Always love seeing mikes setups etc. I’m also a monitor guy , hoping to get my first ackie this year.
Dav as you know I've owned and sold allot of animals I think the scariest thing was our massive albino berm buttercup almost nailing me an my dad Ken foose in the face when we were removing her from a holding container it was scary then had to unhook her teeth from the carpet was stressful as well
Not much really scares me, but I am deathly afraid of trains. Yes, the Choo choo things. I have had full on panic attacks just being close to them. I can't even tell you why. On my head, it's silly. But my body reacts very differently. Go figure.
That crested gecko was terrifying 😂 Your videos always make me laugh! Love your way with people and I always learn something new. Thank you so much. 😊✌🏼
I think Polar Bears are the most fearsome animals. They're not really foragers just straight up murderers. Imagine being out on the tundra. No thank you.
Arboreal Geckos jump. Also a gecko can have a surprising bite force. Even some 6 inch Diplodactyline gex can draw blood and can attempt a 'deathroll' of your finger, twisting and turning leaving a 2 to 3 day mark. ( personal experience). A NZ giant centipede nip hurt like nothing else I've experienced from the animal or plant kingdom tho. Electric shock immediacy, molten lava up arm feel, and minutes of uncontrollable screaming out loud & 20 or so mins to subside. Fire 'wyrm' from hell. Plus they eat geckoes. Paper Wasp stings are nothing in comparison although a Tasmanian paper wasp got me good once in the torso and an Asian paper wasp sting in the eyelid hurt a bit. (Note to self- never again direct the water hose at a paperwasp nest! )
IntereSTING, I actually have multiple kinds of wasps in my yard and on my house and they're surprisingly chill. Got an underground yellow jacket nest that just doesn't care about anything, not even lawnmowers. All this being said, the time when I had to chase a giant red wasp out of the hole in my window screen had to be one of the most terrifying experiences of my life. That experience left me paranoid for days, if not for a couple of weeks. The centipede experience makes sense when you remember that centipedes are venomous, especially the giant ones. They aren't typically dangerous to humans, unless someone possesses a severe allergy to centipede venom.
There isn't really anything animal-wise I'm scared of EXCEPT.....bees. Love all critters fluffy, scaly, slimy, and even the ones with eight or more legs. Bees/wasps/hornets? Nope 😅
Kept and bred reptiles, fish and inverts over 30 years, had and handled over 100 tarantulas, but the thing that freaks me out still are giant grasshoppers, especialy flying at you, and when I see those giant locusts, just kill me.
