The two best lines by far are "So you're still talking to dust? Oh that's hot!" and "Peanut butter breath!" But seriously, "Oh that's hot" always makes me smile.
Fun fact: in the original Broadway production, the lyric was "So you're still talking to dust? Oh, what ROT!" - which is a reference to the Wickersham Brothers' line in the original book ("What rot! This elephant's talking to Whos who are NOT!").
For this song the director actually had me come from the audience during the intro part and start making monkey noises, truly loved every bit of this part.
So we had four Wicks. Three younger kids (old enough to learn and fit the part) and a freshman girl. I'm about the same age as her but seen her around much. I knew who she was but she definitely looks the part so I thought she wouldn't be very present to talk to. Well we ended up talking a bit and turned out to be real fun and friendly. Than she came in as the first Wick bro. I was a bird girl so I was waiting to come on the opposite side that she was going to. Well, while the three boys were running around and cartwheeling to get on stage for this song like a monkey, she ran on and FLIPPED! Then she took control of the boys and sang her heart out in the cruelest Wick voice I'd ever heard. I instantly got a crush on her
I did this show (the original version, not the jr version) as a spring performance and my club leader made the 3 people who were cast as the brothers do actual dancing.
We’re doing this show right now, and I just got cast as one of the Wickershams, and I have absolutely no clue how I’m going to channel that much insane energy
Amerifreedom TV our Vlad is trained in opera and can sing very high. He did the laugh thing and I was sitting right in front of him during rehearsal and he went so high I was almost dead. 😂
Same year as my high school did their production and we did the full version. I was one of the hunters that captures Horton at the end of Act 1 and beginning of Act 2.
So, the Wickershams are uniting in these comments? Dope, I’m one of five Wickersham siblings and we just learned the choreo today. It’s is sO MUCH FUN!!! Only problem is our Horton is way too good at looking upset and scared while I yell in his face, and I’m way WAY too empathetic lmao I’m gonna end up crying in the middle of a performance I stg
I’m a jungle citizen, member of he court and a fish. I’m not a singer more of a dancer and actor but i was practicing my turn combos on stage during a break we had and now our director wants to put them in!! 😆
i was wickersham 3 a couple years ago, literally the most fun i've ever had onstage! lowkey a dream role of mine (not necessarily 3 just in general) and i had such an amazing time 💕🐒
In our suessical I wanted to be a Wickersham because my friends thought I would be great at it At first I was skeptical, but then realised I would be great for it o I auditioned and got the part
I am currently playing both Vlad AND Wickersham 2 so I have no idea how I'm gonna transition between Vlad and Wickersham 2 when they hand the dust speck over. Probably gonna have to go to Kamino or something.
How was the show? I’m in the show right now and thought I would be embarrassed to do this song. But I’ve been seeing a lot of people saying that they like it
I am doing this in just under 6 days- nobody besides me, SK (Sour Kangaroo), Horton, Gertrude, Cat, Jojo and Mayzie know their lines so they had to cut out like- half of yopp, all of the people vs Horton and Green eggs and ham
We have 5 Wickershams. 2 bass, 2 baritones, and one tenor. That poor tenor...he's got these really high notes xD The tenor and one of the baritones are brothers too xD
Doing this show right now, and the main 3 Wickershams have ropes. The main one stands up on his rope and sings while me and my friend hold ourselves upside down from 0:33 - 1:20ish, is it safe, no, but it’s fun
I got casted as Wickersham 1 around 2 months ago. In less than a week we are choreographing monkey around and I was really scared. I looked through the comments on this and it’s made me feel a lot batter knowing that other people have had to Amhara’s themselves playing this role.
we r doin this show at school and the director was playing the music at lunch when it got to the "oh so your still talkin to dust OH THATS HOT" my friend and i just died laughing
I am very late to this, but back in elementary school, I did a play for seussical, this is nostalgic and so is the other songs, I was one of the wickersham brothers lmao
