@@fennelly18 snakes aren't generally known for harming monkeys , it would have to be a constrictor type of snake that is very large going after a very small monkey , a monkey of Boo's size /age would be to large and quick to get away ...he's not a threat . Boo probably knows that ....just my tiny 2 cents , my husband is a herpatologist 😊 Thats why you see the baby monkeys almost always on the adults , they fall prey to so many things in the wild .

@Chris_Gullet Ok for the species location, I don't know much about monkeys tbh. However, it's not entirely true about nature/nurture - innate/acquired, animals, even mammals, included us, doesn't learn ALL from the environment at all, there is some part of innate behaviors. You can raise a squirrel yourself, they will know how to eat nuts. I don't say it's 100% this for Boo and mushrooms, but maybe the smell triggers something he associate with danger, as he clearly try to avoid them and make Pete (?) avoid them too, he even ''rubs'' his hands. It's interesting anyway, I didn't know for the dad thing.

And I concur about Boo instinctively avoiding mushrooms like the plague (although the ones Pete have shown to him in the above video are harmless), as in his wild habitat they would be poisonous and thus dangerous to consume. SUCH a shame that such good mushrooms -- and I personally love them with certain foods -- went to WASTE all for some game of amusement. :-(

Nit hes staying away from shrooms cus they are spores they are basically mold .Unkept kitchens under damp environments grow spores that are just an uncontrolled version of a mushroom. To grow mushrooms they need waste and to be kept in the dark. They are rotten thats the whole point

Lola Ryyder I like how he lovingly steps up into Pete's arms and gets tight to his dad's chest at the end. Pete makes me sooo jealous sometimes. Especially since I can't keep a pet in my home and haven't been able to in 20+ years. My occupation and hobbies preclude me from keeping four-legged friends. My former wife and I dreamed of getting a black cap when we were newlywed in the mid-nineties which in retrospect was a joke considering we could barely take care of ouselves and function like normal human beings. Through a combination of bad karma and Murphy's Law I'm sure we would have ended up with a beautiful, docile, perfect little baby monkey that one year later would transform into a jealous, agressive, cage-shaking shrieker whose hair fails to develop cute little tufts and goes the route of the Korean Dictator 'do instead.
