"Over the course of my journeys, I've been called many things. A warrior. An animal. A trickster. Out of all the names I've been called, one has always remained my favorite: King."
bird and whirling axe???unless he good at buy smoke then transform dust wouldnt do a thing especially jump tree and transform give him sight and ward cant detect him
got a better idea against mk???the warding place is so mess up and ward on ground cant detect mk on tree unless u get ns\keeper with aghanim which is already too late for fat mk...phoenix also good btw
the mk ulti is fucking retarded...i think it gives him immunity from damage during his opening of his ulti(juz damage not immunity from stun or root)... i even had a game where i play axe and ulti him during his ulti(his hp is fucking low)...it deals no damage...seriously i think u guys shud watch out for it
"Over the course of my journeys, I've been called many things. A flopper. A cry baby. A choker. But one always remains my favourite: King" *- LeBron James*
Over the course of my journeys, I've been called many things; a warrior, an animal, a trickster, of all the names I've been called; one has always been my favorite; king.
if you're wondering why there releasing Sun Wu Kong it's because this year because its the year of the MONKEY next year is the year of the flaming rooster
from the start, saying "thot" to me wasnt logical in the first place. And he just called a 13 year old a thot, youre the one who based off acuusations from what im saying, you didnt even look deep into it, but then again why would you?
So DotA 2 finally caved in and introduced Son Wukong as a new hero too, I see lmao Smite, Hon, LoL, and now DotA 2. Four MOBAS with Son Wukong from the Chinese folklore Journey to the West. This ape has been an inspiration for the four lmao
I'm thinking he has a skill that gives true strike for a certain amount of time, cuz he would be OP if he has a passive that grants true strike *PA and WR on vacation forever*
what balance..? from what I remember dota 2 is balance.. If u say that many heroes can easily win the game then u're a fucking noob and doesnt have the word COUNTERPICK in your little brain.. If u even have a brain.
I actually hope he can summon his companions from Journey to the West, or have them be separate heroes instead, cause that would be pretty darn awesome if he can.
Monkey King is not really a "King", just like how A-God (Ana or Arteezy) are not "Gods". Chinese literatures have a tendency to attach those words for dramatic effect. In the original novel, MK is actually a trickster, so him having a more clown-like VA is perfect for him.
@@OHOHOHCOME Monkey King still counts as the King of monkeys and later become a true battle god in the novel so I do think it would be refreshing to have a king-like voiceover for MK with just a tad of mischief voice. Meanwhile, A-God is just an abbreviation of god-like gamer from Chinese and there is nothing to do with dramatic effect.
At last, 5 years have to pass, to see a Hero trailer cinematic from Valve. This is amazing work, i hope i realy hope that well see more cinematics like this for all the entire character of Dota 2 and future incoming chars.
Over the course of my journeys, I've been called many things. A warrior, an animal, the trickster. But of all the names I've been called, one is always remain my favorite, "King".
ok league, even though dota didn't steal wukong, lets just say we did. Lets just remind ourselves of some of the heroes you stole ( theres more but can't remember of the top of my head) Warwick:bloodseeker ashe:drow ranger teemo:techies elise:broodmother evelynn:riki poppy:lone druid ezreal: skywrath thresh? (not sure his name):pudge garen:sven. Stfu lol players
Well, prettymuch most (if not all) League champions are originated from DotA Allstars. Let me remind you that the original creators of LoL had come from DotA AS as well as Icefrog (creator of DOTA 2)
I play both games and they both have unique characters.. design wise? maybe ashe and drow.. but skill wise? nope.. they all play too different to say that this game copied this game.. so stfu and stop calling yourself a gamer for being too biased for 1 game.. league is not HoN which just blatantly rips off characters from the father of moba..
+raidendt because riot is being tryharding in changing champion skillsets to differentiate each other, even though each time they release new champions they created another better version of existing champion. which might indicate the main point of them changing champs skillsets is just to make it seems different even more from dota allstar heroes
From the trailer alone, I suspect he'll have an ability where he'll replace an entire Minion Wave of just him. I think that'd be a pretty cool ability while sacrificing lane pressure for an army during a teamfight... maybe? I can see somethin fun out of it.
The Monkey king is a Chinese myth So is Zeus he is a myth ( seen him in ALOT of games ) so is Medusa she is a myth too (seen her in lots mmorpg games like Silkroad online and other ) Why everyone right now pissed cause game companys using myths in games that other game companys use
If u know a little about Asian culture, you will realise that Son Wukong is a famous character based off in the 16th century Chinese lore which is called 'The Journey to the West'
be sure what youre talking about kid..in dota 1 monkey king bar was already there, LOL and HON didnt exist at that time.. so in conclusion.. LOL and HON are the real copycat of the monkeyking hero. BTW wukong was mentioned in the description of the MKB ( monkey king bar)
what moves the monkey king i think will have off this trailer 1.a simple aoe stun with his stick 0:10 2. some kind of speed boost and invisibility in trees 0:16 3. for his ult he get some fake monkey kings to help him fight 0:31
So new hero coming out in two months, along with already anticipated Pit Lord. Time for some guesswork! From what I make of the trailer, he looks to be an agility based carry/utility hero. There can be one of the two ultimates. Either PL's old illusion skill. Or its an AOE based stun (the scene where he slams the staff to the ground). He also looks to be using trees to move around, and I don't think that was just for the trailer. Maybe that's his mobility? Two things I can think of. Short jump ability from one tree to other with a cool down of 5 seconds (like blink or time walk), OR, instead of mobility, it's a passive, that makes him gain move speed when very close (like 100AOE) to the tree. There is also the possibility of going invisible near tree, like treant, but only for limited time (based on how beastmaster loses him). There appears to be at least one passive ability. There is one more thing I can think of as the skill. When you pop the illusion based skill, the copies and the hero just run straight forward in the direction you are facing for say 1000 distance, while attacking and damaging anything in the path of an 300 AOE in front of the hero, and then disappear. While active the hero is mixed with the copies confusing the enemies, and gains increased movement speed. The copies are uncontrollable. One last active might be ability to gain true strike, for say 5 seconds. I mean its the Monkey King. His staff has been in dota since beginning, it's only natural that he gets innate ability to true strike.
I think it will be an aoe stun where he slams the ground on q invis/turning into a tree for a limited time on w true strike passive/limited time true strike on e and the ult will be the illusion army running forward.
Dont u think that skill that gives u only true strike is quiet poor? I hope it will give true strike for heroes who has evasion and some crits or someshit for others.
I've been called many things, a Warrior, an animal, a Trickster. But all of the names I've been called... The one that always remained my favorite... *Dramatic Music* Harambe.
He should have been in Fight of the Characters. Dio would fight Luna and the Dark Moon order. Dio would overthrow Selemene and force Luna and her army to worship Dio via Flesh buds.
Wukong doesn't belong to Valve or Riot or any other company as well. Still, Warcraft does have a character that was inspired by Sun Wukong named The Monkey King.
Saarabaz, the GuuG I knew there would be something lol. They'll just release him and be like "checkmate" Not that I care. Personally I'm done with MOBA's in general.
I think MK being able to dupe himself is based on some Chinese myth of some sort, I think I've see it from a cartoon or tv show before, using hair to make some clones.
